Kolkata | March 6, 2020:: Calling the West Bengal situation “highly dangerous” for the Hindu society due to the discriminatory attitude of the Mamata Banerjee-led government in the state, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Thursday asked the Chief Minister to desist from making statements branding the Mass Wedding Ceremony conducted by VHP and Saffron Brigade as a ploy of Mass Conversion.

WB CM Mamata Banerjee was seen on Thursday while dancing a jig with tribal women who were performing a traditional dance at a mass wedding in the Gajole area of West Bengal’s Malda district.

Targeting the Saffron penetration in North Bengal, the Chief Minister also said that the West Bengal government government had made sure that nobody would be able to take land away from tribals in the state.

The Educational and Social Welfare wings of RSS (Rashtriya Swaymsevak Sangha) and VHP have been working for the tribal areas of North Bengal since long to save them from the curse of conversion and social exploitation.

VHP’s All India Assistant Secretary, Dr. Sachindra Nath Singha condemned the Govt sponsored Mass Wedding Ceremony for the Scheduled Tribe people conducted the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) Party blocking the same programmes arranged by VHP.

Addressing the media persons, Dr Singha claimed the situation in the state has become highly vulnerable for the Hindu society due to the discriminatory policy of the Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government.

“The mass wedding ceremony programmes for the people of tribal areas using Govt. exchequer are sanctified as Social Service, but when the same programmes are taken by VHP, then those are stopped by the ruling party branding the later as Mass Conversion ploy. This is a clear double standard of WB CM Mamata Banerjee with an ulterior motive,” Dr Singha told the media persons.

As a matter of fact, VHP arranged some mass wedding programmes for tribal people in Malda and Alipurduar in recent. But, the TMC cadres stopped those programmes using muscle power. Now, the same tribal people are being included in Govt sponsored mass wedding programme only for political interest, as alleged by the National VHP Assistant Secretary.

Raising a high alarm for Christian conversion in East Midnapore District, Dr Singha alleged that WB Minister and influential TMC leader Subhendu Adhikary was funding hugely for the construction of Churches in Bhagabanpur, Bhupatinagar, Khejuri, Conati, Egra, Patashpur, Moyna, Mahishadal, Nandigram and Chandipur areas.

Dr Singha claimed hundreds of cases of love jihad have taken place in the state, while the one-sided police actions of the Banerjee government and blatant minority appeasement in the state have resulted in attacks by ”riotous mobs” in areas like Kaliachak in Malda district, Dhulagarh in Howrah. and many other places. “The situation of Hindu people in Muslim dominated areas are highly vulnerable in an unabated Jihadi situation all around,” Dr Singha added.

On CAA and NRC issues, Dr Singha condemned the stand of WB CM Mamata Banerjee as she is dissenting a law established by the constitution only to deprive the citizenship rights of millions of Hindu refugees in WB came from Bangladesh (erstwhile East Pakistan) alongwith a motive to retain huge numbers of illegal Muslim infiltrators in the state came from Bangladesh in a mode of refuting NRC to be introduced.

He also said passing of an amendment of the Citizenship Act was a necessity to ”protect” persecuted Hindus coming from various countries in future and also those already staying in India before the NRC exercise.
