Ravinder Pandita of Save Sharada Committee present memento to Mahendra Pandey
The 2nd Aradhana of Jayendra Saraswati ji was celebrated at Kanchi Matha in Tamil Nadu today. Thousands of followers of Swamiji attended the 3 day celebrations. Sh. Mahendra Pandey hon’ble minister of skill development, GOI also was present in the ‘abhishek puja’ in the centuries old Matha.
Save Sharda Committee Kashmir led by Ravinder Pandita also took part in the celebration. On the occassion, he presented a sharda momento to the minister and emphasised the need for reopening of Sharda Peeth in pok. The Matha was set up by Adi Shankracharya’s saint Sureshwaracharya – a Kashmiri saint and first disciple of Adi shankracharya.
Kanchi Matha has been organising Shankracharya Jayanti in Kashmir for the last decade. This year the week long celebrations will begin on 22nd April. Prasad was given and articles distributed to the weaker section of people on the occasion.
