The condition of the two schools after riots is a testimony to the true intent and nature of the anti-Hindu riots in Delhi

There are two schools in Shiv Vihar. One is Rajdhani Public School and the other is DRP Convent Secondary School. While the owner of the Rajdhani School is a Muslim, Mohd Farooq, DRP Convent Secondary School is owned by Pankaj Sharma. During the anti-Hindu Delhi riots, the school owned by Hindu man was gutted while the school owned by Muslim man was used as a den to perpetrate violence.

The DRP Convent School building in Shiv Vihar has been destroyed by a violent Muslim mob, with remains of country-made bombs found in the school premises. Visuals show classrooms, desks and benches and other school furniture fully burnt. According to Sunil Sharma, Manager of DRP School, the rooftop of Rajdhani School was used as a base to launch attacks on DRP School. The attack was pre-planned as per him. He said slingshot was used by the rioters to throw petrol bomb bottles. One can easily see and verify the difference between the vandalism of DRP school and the Rajdhani School which was left untouched.

“We closed the school after hearing about the riots. Our Security Guard said that the mob which destroyed the school were chanting Allah-hu-Akbar which clearly defines that it was a well planned act to target a particular community”, Sharma said.

Speaking to Organiser, Sunil Sharma, Manager of the DRP school, stated that burning down a school building is part of a conspiracy. I am saying this because on February 25, the students of Rajdhani School were asked to leave before time and the parents of Muslim students of my school also took their children much ahead of the closing time. It means that they had the knowledge of the riots. We had built every corner of this school with love. People have looted the school first and then burnt it. This was done on purpose.

“But we have not lost our strength and still we are not scared of them. We have already started to rebuild the school as we have to organise exam staring from March 13”, Sunil Sharma said.

During our verification on ground, it was found that Rajdhani school building is relatively at a higher ground than the rest of the buildings in the area. The surrounding areas had several Hindu establishments and homes which were targeted by the Islamist mobs. In fact, there was not one Hindu house that had not been damaged by the Jihadis. It is reported that bullets were also fired from guns from the roof of Rajdhani school and in the process, a Hindu man named Dinesh Kumar had lost his life.
