Shri BL Santosh speaking at the function in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: “The situation today is that if one completes learning and does not find a suitable job, it is deemed you cannot do any other work. Many of our youngsters are falling a prey to such thinking and we have to find a solution to this,” said BJP national organising secretary Shri BL Santosh. He was speaking at a function, ‘Gurukula Darshanam’, a unique event of introducing Gurukula initiatives in Karnataka on November 23.

‘Gurukula Darshanam’ is being organised in various parts of Karnataka by Prabhodini Gurukula as part of its ‘Ardha Mandalotsava’ celebrations where the audience is introduced to the Gurukula system, its advantages, the way it works and life after Gurukula.

SVYASA Chancellor Prof. Ramachandrabhat Kotemane explained the importance of Gurukula system and its advantages. He also gave an insight into the way Prabhodini and Maitreyi Gurukulas have changed the lives of thousands of students over the years.

Shri DN Prahlad, Independent Director of Infosys, said the modern education system gives importance to books and not skills. Hence, the youth are finding it difficult to find a suitable job in the industry and this is leading to insecurity in life. But those trained in Gurukula system would have mastered a skill and gained good practical knowledge in several areas. Most importantly they have self-confidence.

CEO of Shringeri Sharada Peetham Padmashree, DR VR Gowrishankar, founder of VRL Group of Companies Dr. Vijaya Sankeshwar, trustee of Prabhodini Gurukula Shri HB Rajagopal and many other dignitaries were also present. Some students who passed out of the Gurukula system and have found great success in life addressed the gathering.
