As violent protests over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by vested interests are being propped up in universities and states like West Bengal and Kerala, it has now come to notice that many Pakistani national entered India and visited border districts of Bihar since 1990 but their activities have not been traced till date.
Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF) had filed an RTI with the Ministry of Home Affairs have revealed many startling facts. RTI revealed that 264 Pakistan Nationals visited Gopalgunj from 2000 onward and 38 Pak nationals visited Kaimur Districts in Bihar since 1990. All of them arrived on ‘Missionary Visas’. Though these details were available, the activities of these dubious individuals who entered India and visited borer districts of Bihar have been untraceable.
While NIA has apprehended many of such Pakistani nationals who have been caught indulging in terror activities, the fact that more than 300 of those who entered with ‘Missionary Visas’ are untraceable is very concerning.
There is lot of fear-mongering and false news being spread about CAA and NRC which the Home Minister has said will be implemented throughout India. The facts from the RTI filed by LRPF and the protests that have been artificially triggered in various parts of India indicates the immediate necessity of NRC across the country.
