Jihadis in the guise of students have turned Jamia Millia Islamia university campus a warzone after unleashing brutal violence in the name of protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. Jihadi violence has rocked Jamia Nagar as Muslim-Urban Naxal groups attacked the police force and created a riot-like situation in the national capital this evening.

The violent Muslim mob torched several vehicles including public transport buses and vandalised public properties in Jamia Nagar. Now, Delhi Police has entered the campus to flush out the protesting students.

The students after unleashing violence outside the campus sought refuge inside the library room and mosque situated on the university premises.

The Delhi Police fired tear gas shells to flush out the mob and detained several assailants from the university campus. According to the visuals, the students from the campus pelted stones at the Police that forced them to retaliate.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said four buses and two police vehicles were torched during the protest. He said that six policemen were also injured.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, the stones were pelted from inside the varsity at police personnel, forcing them to use teargas to disperse the “violent mob“.
