Leading saints at the Mahayajna in Delhi
New Delhi: In order to make the knowledge and science of the Vedas accessible to the masses, a Chaturveda Swahakaar Maha Yajna has been organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad in association with Shri Ashok Singhal Foundation and Jhandewalan Devi Temple from October 9 to 14, 2019.
Briefing the media persons about it on October 7, VHP working president Shri Alok Kumar said the late Shri Ashok Singhal had a vision and mission to spread the holistic and altruistic worldview of the Vedas, their spirituality, knowledge and science in Bharat and abroad. From that perspective, the six-day yajna is being held at Lakshmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir). He pointed out that during the six days, aahutis accompanied by chanting of 29,000 plus corresponding Mantras of the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Saamaveda and Atharvaveda would be offered from 9 am to 12 noon and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The yajna is being performed by more than 50 Vedic Pundits under the Brahmatva of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji from Hyderabad. There will also be daily discourses of Swamiji. Eight Rath Yatras are going on in the national capital to educate the people about the Mahayajna.
Apart from the leading saints, Mahants, key figures from social, cultural, political fields, including Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj, Swami Chidanand Muni from Rishikesh, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gurusharananand Maharaj, the RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Sahsarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh would participate in the Mahayajna.
