A group of Pakistanis and anti-India elements supported by the Pak spy agency ISI, vandalised the Indian High Commission in London on Tuesday. The attackers, under the garb of protesting over Jammu and Kashmir, hurled stones on the embassy building and smashed the windows. The ISI has been organising anti-India protests in front of the Indian embassy after the abrogation of Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
This is the second time violent Pakistani mob have attacked the Indian High Commission in London. Earlier, a protest had turned out to be violent on the Independence Day on August 15.
“Another violent protest outside the Indian High Commission in London today, 3 September 2019. Damage caused to the premises,” the Indian High Commission tweeted with a photograph.
Condemning the attack, Pakistani origin London Mayor Sadiq Khan tweeted, “I utterly condemn this unacceptable behaviour and have raised this incident with @metpoliceuk to take action.”
ISI-backed anti-India elements had disrupted the Independence Day celebrations by the Indian diaspora in London. They hurled stones and eggs on the embassy building and Indians gathered outside.
As per media reports, London police have arrested four people in connection with the incident. A foot-long dagger was confiscated from one of the protesters, the police said.
