“Bharat has been a knowledge centre since the ancient times. It was known as vishwaguru where students from world over came for education. Sanskrit is the treasurer of knowledge. Our identity, culture and history are all connected with the Sanskrit. Knowing Bharat and its heritage without knowing Sanskrit is like breaking stones by hands. Sanskrit is the medium that connects us to our roots of history and knowledge,” the Governor said adding that most of the Indian languages originated from the Sanskrit.
