The Silver Jubilee edition of SIMBEX commenced on November 10 at Port Blair. The initial harbour and sea phase will be held at Port Blair and the Andaman Sea. The second harbour phase along with Silver Jubilee Commemoration Ceremony will be held at Visakhapatnam. The final sea phase would be held in the Bay of Bengal. A large number of various class of ships, submarines, Long Range Maritime Patrol and ASW and other aircraft and helicopters will participate in the exercise. The final phase will also include live weapon drills.
