Shia Waqf Board to skip Eid celebrations, burn Pak flag in protest against killings of Indian soldiers

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board said that it will not celebrate Eid in protest as Pakistan forces “cowardly” killed Indian soldiers. To mark their protest, the Waqf Board said that they will also burn Pakistan”s flag.
The statement signed by Waqf Board Chairman Syed Wasim Rizwi said, “In protest of brutal killings of Indian soldiers by Pakistan, it is announced that there will be no Eid celebrations. Tomorrow at 1 pm, the staff of board and members of the board will burn the flag of Pakistan at the Shia Central Waqf Board”s office as a protest.”
Indian soldier Aurangzeb was kidnapped at the gun point and his bullet-ridden body was found by the police in Pulwama on June 14. Aurangzeb was on his way back home for Eid celebrations. Shujaat Bukhari, veteran journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir, was also shot dead by Islamic terrorists in Srinagar. According to media reports, he was also on his way to attend an iftar party.
