Not an iota of evidence was found against them in Gauri Lankesh murder case, argues Hindu organisations

R Guruprasad from Bengaluru

Hindu organisations such as Sanatan Sanstha, Hindu Janajagruti Samithi that have been accused of unfortunate murder of  journalist Gauri Lankesh held a press meet in Bengaluru on September 21 to clarify rumours.
They agreed that it was true that they had ideological differences with Leftists and the Hindu organisations had taken the legal route to fight. However, blaming them for the murder of Gauri Lankesh was unfair.  The Hindu organisations questioned, ‘on what basis some politicians,
pseudo-liberals and journalists’ falsely naming Hindu organisations naming them without an iota of evidence?
Baseless Allegation
The Hindu organisations also wondered that the special investigation team appointed by the Karnataka Government which is probing the murder of Gauri Lankesh had  claimed that the modus operandi in the murder case was similar to other cases. They also wondered why everyone was silent on the multiple killngs of Hindu activists across Karnataka.  They assured, Hindutva organisations will always cooperate in the investigation. They also clarified that no Special Police team have visited their ashram, as falsely  reported  in section of media.
Sanatan Sanstha National spokesperson Chetan Rajhans  said, “Today botched up  investigations  carried out in the murder cases of Pansare and Dabholkar after  succumbing to the pressure from the families are struck in limbo. As a result, the courts of law have passed strictures against Maharashtra Police. The Hindu organisations cautioned  the Karnataka Police well in advance about facing a similar plight in the murder case of Gauri Lankesh. It is imperative to thoroughly investigate all aspects such as naxalism, family
dispute, property dispute and local fights in the murder of Gauri Lankesh.”
Virendra S Ichalkaranjikar, High court Advocate and president of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad and Sanjiv  G Punalekar, High court advocate and Secretary, Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad lashed out at the fraudulent approach of Maharashtra Police in manipulating the investigations in murder cases of Pansare and Dabholkar.
The entire information in this regard has been given through letters addressed to the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Acting in a knee jerk reaction to the propaganda war launched by Dabholkar and Pansare families in Maharashtra, the Maharashtra police indulged in manipulating witnesses and deliberately overlooked vital clues giving  misleading information to the courts of law and succumbing to pressures from NGOs in the investigation.
The Hindu organisations alleged that the Dabholkar and Pansare  families are holding the reins of every decision of Investigation Agencies including appointments of special Public Prosecutor. As on date,  the only activity going on in Maharashtra is to postpone the imminent debacle as much as possible by trying to get the adjournments and stay orders from higher courts.
Dabholkar Case
In the Dabholkar case, the police had seized the pistol used in the crime and arrested illegal arms dealers, i.e., Vikas Khandelwal and Manish Nagori; the police has also submitted the  ballistic report to the court. All these facts have been published by media. However no charge sheet has been filed against the duo as they have been let go on bail. Despite this,  the Dabholkar family is maintaining a  conspicuous silence on this aspect only because the duo doesn’t have any “association” with the Hindutva organisations.
The Bengaluru forensic science laboratory opined that one of the pistols used in the Pansare murder was the earlier used in Dabholkar murder on August 20,  2013, that is the pistol seized from Khandelwal and Nagori. This means the  pistol used to kill Pansare was was taken out of police custody to murder Dabholkar and again sent back to the police  custody. Strangely, there has been no investigation in this regard and the Communist and families of Pansare and Dabholkar are silent on this issue as this cannot be used for implicating Hindu activists.
Chargesheets are filed in both cases,  yet police are not conducting trials and taking adjournments sighting reasons that the bullets are to be sent to the Scotland yard police.  It is  curious to know that the police knew that such a test with Scotland yard was impossible as a treaty with United Kingdom does not permit such a  test.
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court on a number of times rapped the police about the investigation and said that was nothing but bungling up of the investigation. Therefore, Karnataka Police should not fall prey to the myth of Maharashtra Police being a role model. This falsehood has been  created by the families of Pansare and Dabholkar who now aim to put Karnataka Police into the very same trap in which Maharashtra police find themselves entangled.
Targeting Hindu Organisations
Ramesh Sindhe, National spokes person of  Hindu Janajagruthi samithi alleged that powerful mafia  controlling affairs of Pandarpur, Kolhapur  and shiradi temples are disturbed by activists of Hindu Janjagruthi samithi who are exposing them. He added, “The expose of scams of money
spinning NGOs in Maharashtra in
the Sanatan Sanstha mouthpiece-Sanatan Prabhat  has hurt these  entities. The influential persons in Kolhapur who had usurped thousands of acres of Hindu temple lands and swallowed crores of worth of temple funds were angry when the issue was raised by Hindu activists and later on when the CID began probing the
temple scam. Interestingly it was Sanatan Prabhat that had exposed the Temple scam. The Pansare murder was used by the scamsters as an excuse for creating hatred in the
society against the whistleblowers. The trend was started in 2013 by the Dabholkar family to cunningly
implicate their ideological adversaries as murder suspects.”
Mohan Gowda, Karnataka
coordinator of Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi and Amruthesh NP, Karnataka High court Advocate and National vice-president of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad (A legal forum) were also present  at the press meet.
