The clueless Congress Government in Karnataka has found new allies in self-proclaimed intellectuals who are busy in making baseless allegations in the Gauri Lankesh murder case

The clueless Congress Government in Karnataka has found new allies in self-proclaimed  intellectuals that are busy in making baseless allegations in the Gauri lankesh murder case.
It  has been a week since a journalist, Gauri Lankesh, was shot dead at her home in Bengaluru. However, Karnataka police are yet to find a breakthrough in the case. Karnataka Government has announced Rs 10 lakh reward for informers.
In fact, Siddaramaiah who is boasting of cracking the case at the earliest has increased the number of the special investigative team (SIT) members by adding 40 more cops. However, yet, there seems to be no headway.  This is nothing but a clear indication that the Siddaramaiah Government has lost ground on the law and order front.
Now, the cops are saying that the Gauri Lankesh’s murder might have been done by the same weapon that was used to kill literatteur MM Kalaburgi. Ironically, even after two years, there has been not even a single clue as to why and who killed Kalaburgi. Meanwhile, scores of BJP workers have also been killed in Karnataka and again Siddaramaiah Government has failed to tighten its grip over law and order situation.
Baseless Allies
The Congress Government which has lost face for not bringing the culprits to book is using another trick to divert the attention. The ministers are trying to issue statements  saying that the Right Wing is suspected in the murder. One wonders how ironical this statement is as to when the government or the police have no clue about the killings, they have just found an easy target to blame! Even the so-called friends of Gauri Lankesh who had turned up for protest march in Bengaluru on September 12 demanding the early arrest of Gauri killers did not condemn Congress Government.
The law and order comes under State subject and it is State Government which needs to be blamed for the murder. However, all those leaders who had gathered, targeted only the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All these issues show how these pseudo-secular leaders misuse any platform to vent out their frustration!
Sponsored Rally
BJP spokesperson S Suresh Kumar said that the rally was sponsored by Congress Government. He wondered why none of the speakers chose to take on the State Government for the collapse of the law and order as the State was primarily having the responsibility of killing Gauri and others. “Being silent on Congress and strident on Sangh Parivar is a proof that the entire programme was orchestrated by Congress. The anger was not misdirected but the target was consciously and deliberately chosen,” he said.
Giving proof for his statement, he said that CM’s media advisor Dinesh Amin Mattu was seen at the rally making arrangements for the entire programme. Taking a jibe at the Left party leaders, Kumar said, “The Leftists have become politically irrelevant. They are at wilderness and wandering
without a goal and purpose. In this process, they have visited Bengaluru also. In the murder of Gauri Lankesh, these Leftists are making desperate attempts to gain political relevancy and currency.”
Meanwhile, the Karnataka BJP has slapped a legal notice on historian Ramachandra Guha for linking Gauri murder to RSS on September 11 for his statement over the killing of Communist leaning senior journalist Gauri Lankesh. The notice comes after Guha in an interview to a news portal said, “It is very likely that her (Gauri Lankesh’s) murderers came from the same Sangh Parivar from which the murderers of Pansare, Dabholkar and Kalburgi came.”
