New Delhi: “People world over are worried over the climate change and environmental degradation. Despite various efforts the results are unsatisfactory. On the contrary the Hindu view of life has, since ancient time, developed a healthy mechanism where nature and man act complimentary to each other. It is because of this thinking that we worship the trees and stones considering them as a form of God,” said noted economist and RSS Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt while releasing a book, Paryavaran Darshan, on June 5. The book has been written by Dr Om Prabhat Agrawal and has been published by Suruchi Prakashan.

Dr Gupt said consumerist vision of the West is responsible for the growing damage to nature. The so-called developed nations, where hardly 20 per cent of the world population lives, consume 80 per cent of the world resources. “What is needed to save the nature is to limit the needs and curb the greed,” he added. Dr Om Prabhat Agrawal introduced the book. RSS National Executive Member Shri Ashok Beri, Uttar Kshetra Karyavah Shri Sitaram Vyas, president of Suruchi Sansthan Shri Shivkumar Yadav and many other eminent personalities were also present on the occasion.           N
