Yogkshem Trust, through a seminar in New Delhi, brought to the fore the nature of CPM violence and agony of the red-terror victims in Kerala

Rakesh Kumar Singh
Bringing the rampant Communist violence on non-CPM political activists and their kith and kin in Kerala to public attention, Yogkshem Trust organised a seminar on April 9, 2017 at Speaker Hall, Constitutional Club Rafi Marg, New Delhi. The seminar started with the launch of book named ‘Aahuti’ (in Hindi) which highlights  atrocities on the RSS and the BJP workers by Communists in Kerala. The seminar specifically talked about the Kannuar district of Kerala where CPM power dominates and other party workers are not able to work.
In the panel discussion conducted as part of the seminar, several dignitaries and luminaries spoke and shared their experiences and views on growing intolerance in Kerala and the past and present of Communist violence in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Adv Kylashnatha Pillay, senior lawyer, Supreme Court, thanked Yogakshem trust for taking interest in organising a seminar on Communist atrocities in Kerala. The state of Kerala was formed in 1956 and first Communist Party was formed on 1957. He described that moment as ‘Rahukaal’ for Kerala. In 1964 the CPI got
divided into CPI and CPI (Marxist) aka CPM .The CPM has no inkling for core values. In 1962 when China attacked India, no humanity or sincerity was shown by Communists. The Communists have high level of intolerance where as RSS believes in culture of complete conviction.
“CPM subdued all other communities but failed to subdue RSS. That’s why they have started cold murder of RSS swayamsevaks and BJP workers. The reason is lack of
confidence among communists. They consider RSS
swayamsevaks as a threat and fear that youth may embrace the nationalistic attitude of RSS. The communist ideology is a disease affecting the social, political rights of Kerala,” Adv Pillay added.
In Delhi they come on Television and talk of Human Rights but have different face in Kerala. Sitaram Yechury never talks about the Kannur problem where there is state or party sponsored terrorism but talks about Kashmir problem. He highlighted about “Redrocity” problem and wondered why Communists are physically attacking women and
children. In Delhi too many institutions are a threat. He
mentioned how brutally swayamsevak Chandrasekhran was killed and given 51 wounds by Communists.
Sohanlal Sharma, Kannur Zilla Sah-Karyavah said, when RSS riped, the Marxists started killing the Sangh workers. They have been defeated everywhere but only left in Kerala. Till now there have been four murders after the new government came to power. KT Jaikrishnan Master was also remembered for his great sacrifice.
Adv Monika Arora, Convener of the Group of Intellectuals and Academicians (GIA) highlighted how the Marxists when in opposition talk of freedom of speech in Delhi, but in Bengal they crush the opposition. Communism is
increasingly becoming fashionable among youths. Majority of media supported the Ramjas and the JNU incidents. In JNU in 2010, the celebration was going on and sweets were
distributed when 76 CRPF Jawans were killed in Dantewada. She talks about Afzal Guru slogan on 9th February 2016 and Mahishasura worship during Durga pooja in JNU. The poster says against Judicial killing, against Brahamanical killing. The surprising thing was they were not raising slogans at that time for hostels or other things.
The Supreme Court in its 2015 Judgment has talked about three components i.e., discussion, advocacy, and hate (which is not allowed) pertaining to freedom of speech. The situation in India is alarming, in Kashmir valley the stone palters showed the poster of “Thank you JNU” to the media persons. In Ramjas College “the culture of Dissent” was to be debated with hidden agenda. Sitaram Yechury says Red terror in Kerala is an agenda in spite of so many cases. Lastly
discussed how communism as an ideology has affected and seen a number of assassinations in China, Cambodia, U.S.S.R and Tibet.
During Question Answer session the panel speakers explained how cooperative sector in Kerala is in the hands of communists which is helping them economically to come in power in elections. The CPM majority areas or mohallas are dictated by strict law for marriage proposal, food habits, etc. which are decided by Communist lumpens.    n
