New Delhi:
“Generally people remain committed to their values in the conditions of neglect or opposition, but it is difficult to do so in favourable condition. Sohan Singhji was exception to this. He remained the same in all conditions, as his life was dedicated to the Sangh,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. He was speaking at one of its kind programme organised by the RSS Delhi Prant to release the book Mahavrati: Karmayogi Pracharak Sohan Singh dedicated to the life and contribution of senior RSS Pracharak who took his last breath a year ago.
As Sohan Singhji would not have liked a public function in his name, so perhaps RSS Delhi Prant thought of releasing the book in a Shakha, said the Sarsanghachalak.
RSS Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Delhi Sah Prant Sanghachalak Shri Alok Kumar, editor of the book Shri Gopal Sharma and publisher Shri Prabhat Kumar were present on the stage. Besides the forward by Sarsanghachalak himself, a brief biography of the late Sohan Singhji, many senior RSS authorities, swayamsevaks and ministers from the Central government contributed in the book published by Prabhat Prakashan, New Delhi.

RSS Swayamsevak unfurls Bhagawa Dhwaj at Island Peak Summit
Kathmandu: An RSS swayamsevak from Mumbai and a mountaineer by hobby Shri Rajesh Asher unfurled the saffron flag at the popular Island Peak Summit of Himalayan Mountain series at Eastern Nepal. He successfully reached the Peak on October 12, a day after the Vijayadashami celebration. After unfurling the saffron flag, he also sung the Sangh prarthana (Prayer)—Namaste Sada Vatsale Matrubhoome at  the Island Peak Summit at a height of 20,305 feet from sea level. RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi has congratulated Rajesh Asher for it. Rajesh Asher had also unfurled Bhagawa Dhwaj at South Pole three years ago.
Island Peak is a mountain in Sagarmatha National Park of the Himalayas of eastern Nepal. The Peak was named Island Peak in 1951 by Eric Shipton’ party since it appears as an island in a sea of ice when viewed from Dingboche. The Peak was later renamed in 1983 to Imja Tse but Island Peak remains the popular choice. The Peak is actually
an extension of the ridge coming down off the South End of
Lhotse Shar.

Communist Ideology is Against Humanity

Bengaluru: “Communist ideology itself is against humanity. The amount of violence happened in Kerala proves that the basic ideology of Marxist Party is anti-human. The violence is politically motivated, it should end,” said RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh Shri J Nandakumar. He was addressing a jam packed auditorium of RV Teacher’s College in Bengaluru in a seminar on ‘Urge to End Communist Violence  and Hate Politics’ organised by manthana, an RSS inspired Intellectual Forum of Bengaluru. Aahuti, a book on RSS martyrs during Communist violence since 1960 was also released on the occasion.
MPs Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar and Smt Meenakshi Lekhi, social activist Shri Sadanandan Master
also spoke.

Deal Destructive Elements
in Kashmir with Iron Hand

New Delhi: Medhavini Mandal of Rashtra Sevika Samiti organised a seminar on Kashmir at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. Speaking on the occasion, former Union Minister Dr Subramanian Swamy said Kashmir is an integral part of Bharat and no power on the earth can snatch it away from us. He said conspiracies were hatched to snatch some part of the Valley by forcing the Kashmiri Hindus to flee from the Valley. Such elements need to be dealt with iron hand. Appreciating the surgical strike he said it has enhanced India’s pride world over.
RSS Delhi Prant Sah Sanghachalak Shri Alok Kumar said Pakistan is following ‘a thousand cuts policy’. More lives than lost in the direct war have been lost in the proxy wars imposed on India by Pakistan so far. Under such a situation India gives no significance to LoC.He recalled how the RSS swayamsevaks without thinking about their lives helped the Indian Army during the Pakistan’s attack on Jammu & Kashmir in 1947. The swayamsevaks also made an air strip in Srinagar. Apart from it Jansangh started first satyagraha against two symbols and two chiefs under the leadership of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee. Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika Smt Asha Sharma introduced the topic of discussion.

Social Harmony to Eradicate Caste Differences

Amritsar: Amritsar unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad celebrated Prakat Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki at Sarvahitkari Vidya Mandir. People from different communities participated in the function. Prant secretary of the VHP Shri Harendra Agrawal said caste differences have developed many problems in the society. These differences have also caused clashes in the society. Collective efforts by all communities are needed to curb the caste differences. People from other communities also spoke.

Act Collectively for Social Harmony

Jaipur:  RSS Jaipur Prant organised a discussion on Vijayadashami speech of Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat on October 16. RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal answered the queries of the audience on various topics including social harmony, education, organic farming, cow protection etc.
Dr Krishna Gopal said everyone expects equal respect and love. However many corrective steps are being taken in the country in this regard, but such efforts should be strengthened. “The Constitution cannot change our mind. We all need to act collectively to restore social harmony in the society,” he added.
About education he admitted there is degradation in the sector and the cure has to be found by the teachers only. About organic farming, he said once the cattle used to be part of the family but now this relation has  weakened to a great extent. The chemical fertilizers that are being used today on large scale are leading to many critical diseases. He informed that the Sangh swayamsevaks have started efforts for organic farming at more than 5,000 places and a good change is emerging.
