Mumbai: “Moving ahead in life while working in tandem with the man, society and the universe and also accepting the diversity of the nature is integral humanism. It connects the body, soul, mind and intellect,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while delivering Eknath Thakur memorial lecture on October 6. The lecture was organised on death anniversary of former chairman of Saraswat Bank Shri Eknath Thakur. Senior Marathi writer Shri Madhu Mangesh Karnik was the chief guest. President of the bank Shri Gautam Thakur introduced the topic.
Shri Bhagwat expressed concern that the nation had to wait for seven decades for a vision document regarding development.“The Niti Aayog under present government has for the first time prepared such a document,” he said. He said Bharat is not just a piece of land, rather it owns some distinguished qualities which can be felt even today from Afghanistan to Myanmar and other neighbouring countries, which were once part of Bharat. These qualities are very much relevant even today. Therefore they should be taught to the young generation through textbooks. The education policy should aim at producing self-respected and capable young generation and the economic policy should aim at
providing work to every hand and  promoting self-reliance.

Farmers should get competitive price of their produce

Yawatmal: “One should not ignore the way of worship as it is the base of the nation,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at a function to commemorate the birth centenary of Deendayal Upadhyaya. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Hansraj Ahir was also present on the occasion.
“Nation functions on the concept of family, and India’s concept of family is unique,” Shri Bhagwat said adding that Indian philosophy and culture spoke volumes about the
country’s unity in diversity. Talking about the farmers’ issues, he noted that Deendayal Upadhyaya had cautioned the
government against the use of chemical fertilisers and promoted the use of organic fertilisers. Expressing concern over the farmer suicides in Vidarbha, he said the farmers must get a competitive price for their produce and be encouraged to use all the technologies which are not harmful to the humanity and the nature. “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was a selfless person who devoted his life to the service of the last man of the society, because without the development of the last man, all round development cannot be ensured,” the Sarsanghachalak said.

Lokmanthan to eliminate mental slavery

Bhopal: “There have been attempts for some time by the followers of a particular ideology to put question marks over the nation and the nationality. They not only neglect the national thinking but also ridicule that. Whereas the farmers working in the fields, workers working in the factory, thinkers engaged in literature writing, artists and even the common citizens follow the national view in their daily life. The mental imperialism has clutched this nation for the last 70 years. Now the time has come to demolish the walls of that slavery. Lokmathan will prove to be a strong medium to eliminate this mental slavery,” said RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale while speaking at a seminar organised by the Vishwa Samvad Kendra Bhopal. Lokmanthan is a national
programme, which is to be held in Bhoapl from November 12 to 14. Ideologues from all over the
country will participate in the programme. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh Shri J Nandakumar pointed out that Lokmanthan is a platform
bringing together the nationalist thinkers, researchers and scholars. It would help in giving new
direction to the world through
dialogue.
