Children it is rightly said that where there is a will there is a way. God has made us all equal, it depends upon how we utilise the potential which the All Mighty has given us. Thangavelu Mariyyapan recently proved in the Rio Paralympics by clinching a gold medal for India that nothing is impossible. He achieved this feat in High Jump event by soaring to 1.89m in an event  for people with single knee amputees. He used his deformity to  an advantage and won the gold medal. Organiser salutes his spirit.In this edition we will again learn about the indomitable spirit of a few children who made a name in the world by showcasing their hidden potential.

Tenith Adithyaa : This 11th grade student stays up till 3 a.m. on most nights tinkering in his lab. He already has 17 inventions under his name including an Adjustable Electricity Extension Board and a Banana Leaf Preservation Technology. In July this year, he  spent some time getting mentored in Rashtrapati Bhavan. When he was in 4th standard, he started to study Computer Applications. By now he has mastered 35 computer applications and six languages.An eleventh grader, Adithyaa spends most of his time in his lab to come up with various solutions and innovations that could help society at large.
Angad Daryani from Mumbai used open-source hardware to come up with a virtual e-reader for the blind, a boat that runs on solar power, an automated gardening system called Garduino and also India”s cheapest 3D printer called Sharkbot. His passion for building things differently led to the invention of Virtual Brailler, a device that converts digital text from Roman to braille in real time to give tactile braille feedback to the tracked finger of a visually challenged person. This low cost ebook reader for the blind is a revolutionary product that could make books accessible to millions of people who currently depend on time-consuming methods like getting braille books printed or unintuitive methods like text-to-speech.
Pari Sinha is a Giant Killer of the Chess World. In a country of prodigies, 4-year old PariSinha is a step further. This chess sensation from Bihar checkmated opponents twice her age in State Level Championships and ended up with a podium finish, where she was the youngest ever contestant. The way Pari is picking up the game, the time is not far away when this chess prodigy of Bihar will be shaped into the likes of Indian Women Grand Master Koneru Humpy or world number one Women GM Judith Polgar.
Anand Gangadharan and Mohak Bhalla, two friends turned their science exhibition project into an amazing invention – a shoe that also works as a portable charger for mobile devices. They call it the “WalkieMobi Charger” which generates 6 Volts of electricity as opposed to the 5 Volts that most chargers
generate. If this gets mass-produced, there will be lot of healthy people around. The device is equipped to charge several models of phones. All one needs to do is connect the charger to the shoe while the phone rests in your pocket.
Shalini Kumari, from Bihar, saw her grandfather not being able to visit his favourite spot, the terrace garden, because he was using a walker. This motivated Shalini to design an amazing new variation of the commonly available walker that also works when you need to use it to climb up and down flights of stairs. These new walkers will soon be made available for sale in the market.
Satyam Kumar,  the 13-year-old son of a farmer from Bihar”s Bhojpur district, again cracked the IIT-JEE  with an impressive all-India rank of 679.At the age of 12-and-a-half years, Satyam  got the all-India rank of 8,137 in 2012 and was not happy with his results.He had then resolved to appear in the examination again to improve his ranking.
Ajay Puri  is said to be the worlds youngest web designer. He reportedly designed his first web site at the age of two and began working on his current web site at the age of 6. He is a Microsoft Office User Specialist. His talent has been recognised by  Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and former United States President Bill Clinton.Ajay started using computer since age of one and a half . Ajay can use with ease Microsoft products like Word 2000, Excel 2000, Power Point 2000, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, FrontPage 2000 , Access Database . Microsoft Thailand had gifted Ajay with FrontPage 2000 for making web site which he has already mastered.Ajay can also perform routine maintenance of the computer.
Keshav born on 2003 is an Indian tabla player. Keshav is a prodigy and performed at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.Keshav started learning tabla when he was two years old.
Akrit Jaswal born on 23rd April 1993 is a child prodigy, who had conducted a surgery at the age of  7, in the year 2001. He did a surgery to separate the fingers of a young girl, who got her hand burnt and the fingers fused together. Today, Akrit Jaswal is 15 years old with an IQ of 146, and he is considered as the “Smartest Person” in India.
Sushma Verma: This Lucknowi fourteen-year-old graduated from high school at seven and is already pursuing a master’s degree in microbiology. While her parents work as daily wage labourers, Sushma is waiting to turn eighteen so that she can enrol into a medical school.
So dear children, don’t think just pursue your goals!
