(To My Fellow Kashmiris, August 7); This refers to the article ‘To My Fellow Kashmiris’ by Col.(Dr) Tej K Tikoo in Organiser. In the article sincere advice with full logic has been given to Kashmiri Muslims. But it is all in vain . For Kashmiri true Muslims, prosperity , progress, logic and reasoning has no value. They are fighting for establishment of Islamic rule and have liquidated the entire Hindu pundits from the Valley as a first step. We need not beg from Kashmiri Muslims for keeping Kashmir with Bharat. We have so many valid reasons for this, as detailed below:
1. Independence Act of July 1947, passed by the British Parliament which gives legitimacy to the creation of Pakistan , also gives full powers to the Maharaja of J&K to accede to Bharat. Both the countries are bound by it.
2. Kashmir has been part of Bharat since time immemorial. How can any one question its continuation with Bharat.
3. Pakistan got 25 per cent of undivided Bharat, with 24 per cent Muslim population as per 1941 census, which is already more than its due share.
4. Nehru acted as agent of Pakistan and had no legitimate power to go to UNO for resolving Kashmir issue.
5. On the other hand Bharat can legitimately claim CHT in Bangladesh and Tharparkar district of Sindh in Pakistan, with predominantly Buddhist and Hindu population in 1947.Therefore only solution of Kashmir issue is to completely ignore Muslims of Kashmir, de-franchise them along with the entire Muslim of truncated Bharat and ask Pakistan for complete exchange of population .

Punish Defaulters
It is pathetic and deplorable that while the poor farmers of our country have been committing suicide for non-payment of loans incurred from the banks due to failure of crops, the corporates are never concerned for their huge loans taken from the public sector banks for their development and enlargement of business. Top bank officers , who grant loans to rich people , do not assess the existing value of their assets, which is responsible for the non-recovery of huge amount of loans. The Union Government must intervene and take steps to help recover the loans from deliberate defaulters.

Under Akhilesh government rape is no crime The Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, Justice Dilip B Bhonsle, has rightly said that women in Uttar Pradesh are unsafe. Severely criticising the State government for this state of affairs, he has lamented that the UP police is in the habit of not even registering FIRs in cases of heinous crimes like rapes/gang-rapes, which are consequently on the rise. The observations of the honourable Chief Justice got a confirmation from a meeting of policemen and officers held at Meerut (Dainik Jagran, Meerut, August 13, 2016) where a number of munshees (complaint-writers) posted in various police stations told an ADG (Police) that they were under instructions not to register FIRs from women complainants in order to keep the crime record low on this count. The leaders of the ruling Samajwadi Party are hell bent on keeping the records of crime, particularly crimes against women, as low as possible so as to beat the drum of excellent governance on the law-and-order front in various inter-State fora and also to fool the citizens of UP by presenting artificially suppressed crime statistics before them. But their own utterly insensitive attitude in regard to rape/gang-rape cases that continue to shake the State is a shocking story by itself. Only a few months back, Akhilesh Yadav, the UP Chief Minister shot back at a woman journalist, who had asked a question in regard to increasing number of cases of rapes, in these stunning words—“You are safe. Why do you bother then?” Mulayam Singh Yadav, the president of the SP thinks that gang-rape is an impossibility. In 2014 at a public rally of his party at Moradabad, he put all decency and honour of womanhood to shame by defending rapists in these words—“Boys are boys; they sometimes commit ‘mistakes’ .” No wonder that the UP police is in the habit of either not registering the rape cases at all or registering them under weak sections of Indian Panel Code (IPC). Azam Khan, the most favoured and powerful minister of Akhilesh Cabinet, recently rubbed salt on wounds of gang-raped mother-daughter duo at Bulandshahar, by opining that the whole “story” was a political conspiracy against the SP government. Only last year, when a woman, who had been subjected to the heinous crime went to him complaining of inaction on the part of police, he publicly rebuked her saying—“Don”t carry your story here and there; you won”t remain in a position to show your face to the society.” Such is the sorry state of affairs in UP where womanhood is under unprecedented state of attack by ruffians emboldened by remarks of ruling politicians and without any fear of police action. |
Don’t take law in your own hands
This refers to an incident in Punjab where a few gau-rakshaks have been booked for thrashing a driver of a truck for cow trafficking, which was unfortunate. We appreciate gau-rakshaks in checking out and bringing into notice illegal cow trafficking but we regret that they took law in their own hands and thrashed the driver of the truck. They should be reminded that there is a law which governs such illegal activities and there is Police to take action against such persons. We fear if gau-rakshaks take law in their own hands,they will be defamed and would get a bad name. Due to their this haste act the whole show of cow protection would be spoiled. We hereby appeal to all gau-rakshaks to abide by law and take the help of Police in such cases and not take law in their own hands. Meanwhile we request the NDA-II government to take enough measures to protect the cow wealth of our country. We gau-rakshaks should be aware of the fake gau-sevaks who take advantage of the situation to fulfil their vested interests, as what our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has rightly pointed out.

The Union Home Ministry has done the desirable by issuing advisory to all states to implement strict laws to tackle the self-styled gau-rakshaks. However in the cities , none is bothered about cows since packed milk is available at the doorstep. Hungry cows roam about eating whatever is available on the streets, including insoluble polythene bags, causing death of many cows. Genuine gau- rakshaks must take care of uncared cows and disown the groups bringing bad name to them.

J&K problem needs people’s cooperation
(Proxy war is only means to an end, August 14); This refers to the thought-provoking story on Karshmir turmoil titled ‘Proxy war is only Means to an end’ by Brig. Anil Gupta in Organiser. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at a public rally in Bhabra in Madhya Pradesh has rightly advocated a path of “democracy and dialogue” to restore peace in the spirit of insaniyat (humanity), jamhuriyat (democracy) and Kashmiriyat’. It is distressing that Kashmir is always on the boil. The issue of Kashmir is a chronic one, and has festered nearly three quarters of a century. Those familiar with Kashmir’s history would be aware that violence in Jammu and Kashmir generally tends to come in ‘waves’. The Centre and State governments deliberately remain silent till the situation boil and burst. It is an urgent need to study the Kashmir issue in depth and provide a lasting solution as Kashmir is the greatest problem for India and it has been the bone of contention. Don’t you think that the problem is to be solved with open mind? But, a vast majority of people in Kashmir are too busy to make their living. The continuing unrest reveals the fact that despite the promises the Peoples’s Democratic Party (PDP) made before coming to power last year—that it would restore democracy and end human-rights abuses—there is little it can do to effect real change in the lives of the Valley’s youth. One’s imagination failed to understand that Kashmir has been boiling with discontent for years and there has been no effort to assess the problem. Has anyone spared a minute to give a thought to the mental suffering and the pressure faced by the policemen or the armed forces, which has become their daily routine these days? Unless there is a political process to address the aspirations, the cycle of violence will never abate. Problems are due to the insincere and inept polity. Unrest in Kashmir reveals the failures of the ruling People’s Democratic Party. The killings clearly reveals the fact that the real power in Kashmir lay not with the State’s elected government, but with someone else. Slogans are becoming the main instigators of violence .NDA-II government should take a tough stand to solve the problem in Jammu and Kashmir. Tourism is main business of Jammu and Kashmir , which gives employment and business to a large number of local people. This business can only flourish if there is peace and tranquility. Countries across the world must unite to fight terror so that the innocent people of Kashmir can leave alone in peace and not in pieces. It should also be the responsibility of every citizen to cooperate with the government as well as our armed forces to make Jammu and Kashmir peaceful and terror free. Good governance and good policies will address the problem to a very large extent.
