News Round-up :India Health Line now in Kerala too
Kochi: In order to offer free consultancy by specialist doctors to the needy patients, India Healthline was officially launched in Kerala on July 31. The launch took place in the presence of eminent doctors and representatives of medical fraternity. The Health Line has a National Call Centre to attend to patients’ calls who, after meeting the neighbouring general practitioners, want to consult specialist doctors for further treatment. The number of the Call Centre is-18602333666.
Launching the Health Line VHP working president Dr Pravin Togadia, who is also a renowned Cancer Surgeon and has successfully done over 12,000 Cancer Surgeries, said: “There are untreated diseases only because patients after primary examination do not approach specialist doctors. It is mainly due to poverty, fear of increased medical expenses if any serious disease is detected and sometimes even ignorance. The disease does not stop; it grows further affecting efficiency of the patient and when delayed the treatment costs much higher affecting the entire family. The poor, lower middle class and middle class families suffer more due to it. To avoid this, the India Health Line aims at connecting medical fraternity with the needy patients. So far nationally thousands of specialist doctors like Cancer Surgeons, Cardiologists, Gynecologists, Nephrologists, Urologists and many other specialist doctors have got associated with the IHL.” National Advisors of India Health Line includes national President of IMA Dr SS Agarwal, former National President of IMA Dr Jitendra Patel and Director, AIIMS (Patna) Dr Girish Kumar Singh.

Taking inspiration from them he tirelessly devoted 70 years of his life for the sole purpose of spreading the RSS across all walks of life. Paying tribute to Rambhau Mhalgi he highlighted how Rambhau maintained the spirit of ‘Suchita’ despite being in politics.
Presiding over the function RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh Prof Aniruddha Deshpande recollected the association Pune had with Balasaheb Deoras including the imprisonment he had at Yerwada Jail during the Emergency. ‘Most of our deficit is due to import from China’
Jodhpur: “Swadeshi has been integral part of the freedom movement since the first war of Independence and it was very dear to the freedom fighters. Babu Genu was the first martyr for Swadeshi who sacrificed his life on December 12, 1930. He realised the fact that import of foreign goods is causing huge economic damage to our country,” said national organiser of Swadeshi Jagran Manch Shri Kashmirilal while delivering Shahid Babu Genu memorial lecture on July 28.
He expressed concern over the Chinese membership in NSG because the SJM feels that most of India’s deficit is due to import from China. Not only this China has been openly supporting the terrorists like Azhar Masood and Mahmood Lakhvi at international platforms. In such a situation importing goods from that country is financially supporting the enemy nation. Therefore the SJM calls upon the people of the country to boycott the Chinese goods,” he said further expressing
concern over the FDI.
The Manch would carry out a campaign on August 9 against FDI. The Manch activists would assemble in New Delhi from September 3 to 4 to decide the further strategy. The Memorial Lecture was presided over by Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ayurveda University Vice Chancellor Prof Radheshyam Sharma. Shri Nirmal Gehlot, director of Utkarsh Sansthan was the chief guest at the function.
Kerala VHP for eradicating Islamic terrorism from the State
Thiruvananthapuram: The State conference of Kerala Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), held from July 30 to 31, demanded legal ban on religious conversion and eradication of Islamic terrorism from the State.
The conference expressed serious concern over the growing influence of ISIS in the State. It expressed regret on the negligence by the authorities towards the growing incidents of love jihad despite repeated warnings from the organisation for the last many years.
Political parties in Kerala keep mum concerning the Islamic fundamentalists like Zakir Naik. Thus Kerala’s CPM-led ruling LDF as well as Congress-led Opposition UDF are indirectly helping terrorism. That 21 highly educated people, including women, have fled the country to join IS has shocked the whole world proves that Islamic terrorism is comfortable in the State. Most of them are converted into Islam from Hinduism and Christianity. They were made jihadis through the misuse of modern social media platforms.
In a resolution the conference said conversion of non-Muslims to Islam and then moulding them as terrorists should never be allowed. The intervention of the government, court and the people is essential to block the growth of terrorism.
The resolution urged the government to introduce stringent laws to stop conversion and wipe out Islamic terrorism from the soil of Kerala.
In another resolution, the confernce demanded renaming of National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, as Ambedkar National University of Advanced Legal Studies. Another resolution asked the authorities to implement Prof Madhav Gadgil Committee Report for the protection of Western Ghats.
The fourth resolution asked the authorities to do the needful to protect the Hindu rites and rituals.
VHP international joint organising secretary Shri Vinayak Rao Deshpande addressed the delegates. Many senior VHP functionaries from the State and also the national level leaders attended the conference and decided the future course of action.
