Synergising Hindu organisations for common goal

Houston: The Houston unit of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA (HSS) organised its 11th annual Hindu Sangathan Divas conference on May 29, at Vallabh Priti Seva Samaj. This event was joined by over 40 Hindu organisations from greater Houston area. The event offered the participants an opportunity to network with each other with the goal of synergising the work of different Hindu organisations, as they serve the community with common purpose.
There were three parallel sessions covering covering different topics. The first session outlined the importance of Sewa activities in mainstream community as well as for Hindu community in and around Houston.
The second session stressed the need and importance of establishing correct Hindu identity in mainstream community.
The third session brainstormed topic of ever importance, developing second generation youth leadership in community.
Consul General of India Shri Anupam Ray stressed at being Indian is inextricably linked with him being a Hindu. He expressed that he was impressed by the work of HSS in Houston and its coordination  with various other organisations.
HSS USA president Dr Vinod Ambastha expressed satisfaction with Houston Hindu Community for coming together and discussing various issues of importance over past ten years and also hoped that greater leap in this mutual coordination should be our next aim.                                   n
