mNagpur: RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat recently visited Nagpur Veterinary College (NVC) fro where he did his Masters in Veterinary Science in 1974-75. He attended the Alumni Meet-2016.
Sharing memories of the student days, Shri Mohan Bhagwat narrated the anecdotes about his teachers at that time. He said that he owed all his good qualities and his personality to them and the activities in the college. Besides academics, sports and cultural activities made him the person he is today. He had to abandon his post graduation due to Emergency imposed in the country in 1975. He also shared memories of his first job as veterinary officer in Chamorshi. The portrait of his Anatomy teacher and hostel warden, Prof MK Hawaldar brought back the memories related to the hostel life.

Odisha: The Bharat Parikrama Yatra being conducted by veteran Sangh Pracharak Shri Sitaram Kedilaya entered Odisha on June 4. After visiting the State the Yatra is scheduled to enter Andhra Pradesh on July 17. Odisha is the 22nd State to which the Yatra has entered. The Yatra entered Odisha from Chhattisgarh. This five-year mega walkathon will conclude in Kanyakumari on Guru Purinma Day of July 9, 2017.
Belagavi: RSS Prachar Vibhag organised Narada Jayanti celebration at Belagavi and Hubli in Karnataka on June 4 and 5 respectively. In Hubli, the event was organised by Loka Hitha Trust. New Delhi: RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi released Agricultural Atlas of Madhya Pradesh on June 1 at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA) in New Delhi. Union Minister of Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh, veteran BJP leader Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, organising secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Dinesh Kulkarni and Chairman of the IGNCA Ram Bahadur Rai addressed the gathering. Director of the Centre for Policy Studies Dr JK Bajaj submitted a presentation on the contents of the Atlas.
He said the Atlas which is a bilingual illustrated compendium of all aspects of Agriculture in Madhya Pradesh comprises detailed maps on the geography, rivers, soils, climate, demography, livestock, changing cropping patterns and production of different crops in the State. It also rigorously records the extraordinary growth in all aspects of agriculture that has taken place in Madhya Pradesh during the last about one and a half decades. According to it Madhya Pradesh is fastest growing State in agriculture and the State with the largest share of agriculture in the State Domestic Product.
The Atlas has been produced jointly by the Centre for Policy Studies and Madhya Pradesh Council for Science and Technology. Resource Atlases of Datia and Tikamgarh districts in Hindi were also released on the occasion.
It was Prof Pramod Verma, from Madhya PraeshCounsel of Science and Technology who gave the idea of Resource Atlas.
Sriperambudur: A Gram Kalvi Maiya Poruppalargal Payirchi Mugam (Village Tuition Centre Teachers and Health Workers Camp) was inaugurated by senior Vanvasi Kalayan Ashram leader Shri Ramachanrayya in Sriperambudr, Tamil Nadu on May 5. The camp concluded on May 29. A total of 114 teachers and health workers from nine districts of Tamil Nadu participated in the camp. Many senior Sangh and Kalyan Ashram adhikaris guided the participants. State president Shri Subramaniyam delivered the concluding speech. President of Thiruvallur Bricks Chamber Association Shri Geethanjali Sampath also spoke on the occasion. A book Panbu Malar, a guideline for the teachers, was released by Akhil Bharatiya Chhatravas Pramukh Shri Nishikanth Joshi along with other senior adhikaris including Shri Sathyan, Shri Krishnamoorthi, Shri SS Raj, Shri Sudersan, Shri Thirugnanam, Shri Kanniraju, Shri Govindan and Smt Hemalatha Kannan.
New Delhi: Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) welcomed Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s recent statement that labour reforms are not essential for industrial growth. Addressing a huge gathering of workers in Delhi during a protest against the Government of Delhi on June 1, BMS national organising secretary Shri KC Mishra said Shri Jaitley has asked the Labour Minister to look into the issue of contract workers and make their service conditions at a par with the regular workers. Shri Mishra also pointed out that Shri Jaitley has said the government would pursue any amendment in labour laws only after bringing unanimity among the trade unions, employers’ organisations and states. “He also agreed that minimum wage has to be given a serious thought, considering the differences in consumer price in major cities and towns,” Shri Mishra added.
Addressing the workers from different departments of Delhi Shri Mishra said the Government of Delhi has backed out from its promises that it made during the elections. He demanded that the Government must pay the arrear of bonus and improve the service conditions of the contract workers. National Secretary of BMS Shri Jayantilal alleged that the government is running the Anganwadi Kendras through the NGOs which are exploiting the Anganwadi women. BMS Kshetra organising secretary Shri Pawan Kumar said the BMS believes in responsive cooperation. The much the government cooperates with the workers, the more it will cooperate with it.

The party workers need to appreciate this aspect in letter and spirit and continue to work on the guiding principles set by our visionary leaders like Pt Deendayalji,” said BJP president Shri Amit Shah while releasing the special issue of Vivek on Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya, titled ‘Rashtradrashta Pt Deendayal’. Swami Govind Giri Maharaj, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar and president of Hindustan Prakashan Sanstha, Ramesh Patange were also present on the occasion.
Swami Govindgiri Maharaj recalled the eternal thought process preached and practised by Deendayalji in Indian social and political context particularly through the theory of Internal Humanism ensuring the upliftment of the deprived classes. He said the legacy of ‘Chintan’ from Shri Guruji was taken forward and spread by the late Deendayalji and Dattopant Thengadiji in their respective fields and we need to follow their principles in practice for betterment of the nation.

New Delhi: Coming down heavily on the pseudo-secularists who made a hue and cry over the killing of a person in Dadri on cow slaughter, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said the Government of Uttar Pradesh as well as the entire secular mafia lobby stand exposed after the forensic report confirmed that it was indeed beef that was recovered from Akhlaq’s home. VHP joint general secretary Dr Surendra Jain said in New Delhi on June 3 that the Hindus of Bishara ran from pillar to post screaming cow-slaughter but to no avail. The Uttar Pradesh Government suppressed the report for eight months but now this criminal conspiracy stands exposed.
“The way Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and the likes are maintaining mysterious silence on the forensic report, raises a question mark on their patriotism. They indulged in a senseless debate on intolerance only to serve their selfish motives. They should apologise for what they have done if they have any sense of shame left. But CM Akhilesh cannot get away with a mere apology. He has falsely implicated the Hindus of Dadri and put them behind bars. He must withdraw the false cases against the Hindus and provide adequate compensation to the victims,” Dr Jain said.

Omprakash Arya is no more Former RSS Sanghachalak of Rajasthan, Omprakash Arya, passed away in Hindaun on June 2. A noted lawyer, a good orator also a dedicated activist Om Prakash Arya was born on December 9, 1928 in Hindaun. An intelligent child since childhood he became a Sangh swayamsevak in his childhood. After doing LLB, he served as a Sangh Pracharak from 1948 to 1952. He enjoyed close affection of veteran Pracharak the late Sohan Singhji. During Emergency, he was in jail for one year. He left the family responsibilities to his sons in 1982 and dedicated himself to the national cause. He held various responsibilities in the Sangh including Vibhag Karyavah, Prant Karyavah, Sah Prant and Kshetra Sanghachalak. He was Kshetra Sanghachalak of Rajasthan from 1992 to 2009 and was also State president of Rajasthan Sewa Bharati. He played a key role in the formation of government college, Adarsh Vidya Mandir and also Abhay Vidya Mandir. n |
