Balagokulam Delhi-NCR Chapter celebrated its 15th anniversary on April 10, 2016

Ganesh Krishnan R

“Gokuladarshanam is an allusion to the fact that Balagokulam which was once confined among Malayalees, is now geared up to reach out of the boundaries of Kerala and spread across the country including Hindi speaking states,” said RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh J Nandakumar while delivering the keynote speech at ‘Gokuladarshanam 2016’ at New Delhi on April 10.  The grand event marked the 15th anniversary of Balagokulam Delhi-NCR. Our education system leaves no space for spirituality. This is the reason why anti-national thoughts are now rampant among students. “We live in a society in which our Human Resource Minister herself admitted that our university syllabuses contain the elements which are against the cultural values of our nation,” Shri Nandakumar added.
Inaugurating the event, Minister of State for Culture Dr Mahesh Sharma said, “The divine mission of Balagokulam is to spread Bharatiya culture to the coming generation. The significance of Balagokulam has increased at a juncture when the world is seeking spiritual and ethical backing from Bharat.” Our children should exercise the teachings of Balagokulam in their lives. While the world is looking at Bharat, the organisation is an invaluable gift to the youth, Minister added.
Speaking on the occasion, Malayalam cine superstar Shri Suresh Gopi expressed his strong discontent on the recent anti-national activities at some universities. We should  feel sorry that it is in same the land of Bharat where we believe in the idea of Mata-Pita-Guru-Daivam, all these absurd dramas  are being staged. There is a conscious effort to destroy the values of Bharat. The unbridled westernisation is the root cause of the fall of eastern cultural entities, he said. Balagokulam is an organisation which shapes the fundamentals of a virtuous world.
As Mahamandaleswar Brahmarshi Kumar Swamiji gave spiritual message to the audience, welcome committee chairman Shri N Venugopal welcomed all the special guests. Union Minister of State for AYUSH (independent charge) Shri Shripad Yasso Naik, welcome committee vice chairman AP Balakrishnan, Babu Panikkar, Rahul Easwar, Arun Govil, AR Vijayan, KV Ramachandran, PK Suresh Kumar, Sreedharan Master, Hareendran Master, Baburaj Master were  also present on the occasion.
Established in 1974, Balagokulam is now active in 15 countries of the world along with other parts of Bharat such as Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other places. Now it is striving for  materialising its ambitious plan of building  an  International Sri Krishna Kendra in Kodakara, Kerala. Since its very inception in Delhi in 1999, Balagokulam has witnessed a steady growth and now it has touched new heights with 56 units  looking after 1,500 children in the region.
In a gala cultural choreographed by Guru Balakrishna Marar, around 1,500 children of Balagokulam Delhi-NCR performed a stunning dance  performance.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, an international seminar on Children and Thoughts on the Nation was conducted on the next day.  While inaugurating the seminar, Shri Anil Vartak RSS Viswa vibhag Delhi said, “Global expansion of Balagokulam is essential for the progressive growth of the humankind.” The seminar was chaired by Balagokulam Kerala State president Shri KP Baburaj. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rahul Easwar stressed on the necessity of pre-marital and post-marital counselling in Hindu society. He said that students must come forward to learn more about the historical aspects of Sanatan Dharm. The participants of the seminar maintained that lack of a value based education is the pivotal cause of anti-national tendency among students. More than 250 delegates including the representatives from around 15 foreign countries attended the seminar.                      n
