Readers' Forum: Hanging with Herald

(Organiser, 20.12.15); This refers to cover story of Organiser titled ‘Hanging with Herald’ by Kanchan Gupta. Congress started clamouring for Arun Jaitley's resignation as soon as the AAP leaders leveled charges of corruption against him in the DDCA affair. Now that a High Court has found a prima facie case of ‘criminal intent and fraud’ against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi and they were made to appear before a trial court along with other accomplices to seek bail, will these leaders suggest to them that they should resign from their parliamentary seats? Remember that Lal Krishna Advani resigned from Lok Sabha immediately after his name was associated with the Jain Havala case. He didn't even seek re-election until he was exonerated. Another thing I would like to bring to the readers' notice is that the Congress leaders have been trying to take subterfuge under the plea that Young India, the Sonia-Rahul venture made to gobble up the AJL (the National Herald publishers), is a Section 25 company from which no director can take a single paisa by way of salary, remuneration, dividend or fee. Are they naive, or think people are gullible? Those who form Section 25 companies, more often than not, book their personal expenses to the companies' accounts and thus circumvent the law. This practice is very widely prevalent. So for God's sake, stop this Section 25 clamour.

Don’t fiddle with national songs

One wonders why our singers and even musicians want to indulge in singing some of our national songs including our Karnataka State anthem—Vande Mataram and Jaya Bharata Jananiya Thanujathe in new tunes and even modify the content. If they want to sing in style and content let them compose new songs with new content and new tunes attractive to the present generation. Leave the old, that is gold.
