RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sewa Pramukh Shri Ajit Mohapatra appealed to the people to ensure ecological balance in their life and do not take any step which disturbs the ecology in any way. He was addressing a gathering of intellectuals in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, on October 10. The interaction was organised by RSS Bharatpur Sampark Vibhag.
Shri Mohpatra further said all creatures on the earth work round the clock to ensure balance in the nature, whereas the human beings are forgetting their duties. He said our ancient samskars exhorted us to think for welfare of all. Dr Ashok Kumar Bansal, Principal of Rageshwari Devi Girls College said Bharatiya thinking is capable of guiding the whole world. Many distinguished people including Dr Manvendra Chaturvedi, Dr DK Dwivedi, Shri Govind Gupta, Shri Dhawal Vyas, Shri Bhagirath Shivlahari, Shri Gendalal, Shri Vinayak etc. were present on the occasion.
Live webcast of Sarsanghachalak’s Vijaydashami speech from Nagpur
The Vijaydashami speech of RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat will be telecasted live from Nagpur on October 22. The speech will begin at 7.30 am on October 22 from Reshimbagh Maidan. The speech will be webcasted at www.samvada.org and www.rss.org. It is to be noted that the RSS was founded on Vijayadashami Day in 1925 by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur. Hence the RSS turns 90 years on this Vijayadashami day.
Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayajna in Delhi from November 16 to December 3
Delhi unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad is going to organise Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayajna at Laxminarayan Temple from November 16 to December 3. Ahutis will be offered to the fire with 10,500 mantras from Rigveda, 9,500 mantras from Krishna Yajurveda, 2,000 mantras from Shukla Yajurveda, 1,900 mantras from Samveda and 6,000 mantras from the Atharveda. Eleven Vedacharys from each Veda will recite the mantras and the Yajnamans will offer ahutis. The ahutis will be offered from 8.30 am to 10.30 am, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 3.30 to 5.30 pm. There will also be lectures on the Vedas. This routine will be followed for 18 days. n
After HC Order Enact Central Law to Protect Cows: VHP
Welcoming the Himachal Pradesh High Court order directing the government to enact law for banning cow slaughter, besides imposing total ban on sale, export and import of the beef and beef-products in Bharat within the next three months, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad joint secretary general Dr Surendra Jain demanded immediate compliance of the court order. “To honour its commitment, public sentiments, compliance of the court order as well as the constitutional provisions, the Union Government should not delay any more,” he said in a statement issued in New Delhi on October 16. He said leaving behind narrow political motives, the Congress and other political parties should also come forward for total ban on the cow slaughter, as the Congress governments also banned cow slaughter in many states during its tenure.
BMS appeals for protecting labours interest in labour reforms
BMS appealed to the government to protect the labourers’ interests while finalising the draft industrial code. BMS says that the proposed draft industrial code proposes easing of hire and fire norms for companies, among others. During the deliberations held by Labour Ministry with the employers and the employees on the revised Draft Bill, which proposes to combine Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, Trade Unions Act, 1926, and Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 into a single code, the BMS said they do not support certain provisions of the Draft Bill. BMS north zone organising secretary Shri Pawan Kumar said the Labour Ministry had agreed on the provision of one-third outsiders in trade unions in organised sector and 50 per cent outsiders in unorganised sector would not be changed. Now they want there should be no outsiders in the union. “They had agreed on collective bargaining table where persons getting 15 per cent of votes will get a seat in the table to negotiate with management,” he said adding that the new Bill proposes that once negotiations are on then there will be no strike. n
Integral Humanism is practical model of development
A marvelous oil painting of Nanaji Deshmukh, made by leading painter Sardar RM Singh, was inaugurated by Haryana Governor Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki in Delhi on October 11. The occasion was 99th birth anniversary of Nanaji. A seminar on Integral Humanism and Self Reliance was also held on the occasion.
Speaking at the seminar Swadeshi ideologue Shri P Murlidhar Rao expressed concern that Bharat, the country blessed with the largest quantity of fertile land in the world, imports foodgrains and pulses for several years. “Bharat is the largest consumer of pulses. If we continue to import them our self-dependency and self-reliance will be endangered. Therefore, it is direly needed that Bharat increases the production of pulses. Similar is the condition with the edible oils. If we have to materialise the thinking of Deendayalji and strengthen our self-reliance we will have to give priority to the small scale industries. We can learn much from the experiments conducted in Chitrakoot by Nanaji,” he said.
Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki stressed the need to utilise the birth centenaries of Deendayalji and Nanaji for educating the masses for self-reliance. He said Integral Humanism is not an alternative thinking; it is an eternal view for the benefit of the humanity. He called Nanaji as a leader, statesman and founder. That is why he is Rashtrarishi. He materialised the views of Nanaji and showed the world that it is a practical model of development. n
Tribute to Prof GS Mudambaditthaya
Veteran educationist and former zonal president of Vidya Bharati Prof GS Mudambaditthaya passed away in Bengaluru on October 16. He was 82. He served as an advisor in different educational committees. He was associated with the Vidya Bharati, Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh, Rashtrotthana Parishat and also the Janaseva Vidyakendra. He earlier served as zonal president of Vidya Bharati for Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana. RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, senior functionaries Shri Mukunda CR, Shri Mangesh Bhende, Shri Mai Cha Jayadev, Shri V Nagaraj and others expressed their condolences.

Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair 2015 concludes in Jaipur
The Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair-2015 concluded in Jaipur. Addressing the gathering at Investment Ground of Swami Mansingh Stadium founder of Vatsalya Gram Didi Maa Sadhiv Ritambhara said dharma is not the thing to show but to practice. She said those who are making dharma as business are basically harming it. She also expressed concern over the crimes against women.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs General VK Singh said the army men believe in action. If both the dharma and karma (action) are interconnected it can resolve many problems which the country is facing today. Sant Somgiri Maharaj appealed to the people to spare time for social cause. Earlier, addressing the gathering Sadhvi Vijay Urmiliya said just putting tilak on the forehead of girls is not sufficient for Kanyapujan. We need to take steps to ensure safety and security to them. Swami Brahmananda Maharaj also addressed the gathering.
