Yuva Sankalp Shivir in Agra
Shakha adds values in a citizen’s life
                                —Mohan Bhagwat

RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat said the nations which are known as developed today are so not because of their leaders, political parties or organisations but because of their citizens’ dedication and devotion. If Bharat too has to become a prosperous nation we need to bring quality in the life of citizens and generate the feeling of attachment to the nation. Even the US and Japan have achieved prosperity by following this path, he said while interacting with the youth at Yuva Sankalp Shivir in Agra on November 3.
On this occasion Shri Bhagwat also felicitated Smt Dharamwati Devi, widow of Indian Army soldier Hemraj, who was decapitated by Pakistani Army, Shri Ramesh Baba who runs Yamuna Bhacho Andolan, Varuna Bahan, director Vanavasi Student Kalyan Ashram in Rudrapur, Shri Bharat Phatak, director of Nanaji Deshmukh Gram Vikas Project at Chitrakoot, Shri Ashish Gautam of Divya Prem Sewa Mission who works for the leprosy patients and Shri Sunil Sharma of Kalyan Karoti who works for uplift of differently-abled.
The RSS chief told the youth to join Sangh shakha if they want to understand the Sangh and its work. “There is no other organisation similar to the Sangh in the world. There is a certain perspective and inquisitiveness required to understand the Sangh which is working towards organising the Hindu society, he said.
He said there can be no Hindu without Bharat and there is no Bharat without Hindus. Bharat is not the name of the land but it’s a place where the Bharateeyas reside. The character and tradition of Bharat is Hindutva. We need to maintain the decorum in the society to stay united. He said today there are 40 lakh swayamsevaks and 30 thousands daily Shakhas and 60 thousand weekly Milans. He said the Sangh has a target of reaching one crore Swayamsevaks by the time it turns 100 in 2025.

TN to reverberate with Rajendra Cholan Vazhga

In adherence to RSS appeal to popularise the inspirational anecdotes from the life of great monarch Rajendra Chola whose 1000th coronation anniversary falls this year, RSS swayamsevaks of both Uttar and Dakshin Tamil Nadu are going to take out route marches in every Vibhag on November 9. In view of the uniqueness of the occasion, the scope of Path Sanchalan has been enhanced and sympathisers not in RSS uniform as well as their family members are also to be included in the huge processions planned.
