Report: Live A Meaningful Life

RSS Delhi Prant four-day Yuva Sankalp Shivir

Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat tells youth

“If we want welfare of all creatures, we should live a meaningful life. The truth is that the God exists in every creature and serving that God should be our objective. Therefore, we should work for the betterment of the entire world. One who wishes for happiness and progress of all and also looks at every creature equally is a Hindu,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing a four day Yuva Sankalp Shivir in Sonepat, Haryana. The Shivir was organised at the Bhagwat Mahavir Institute of Technology by RSS Delhi Prant from September 25 to 28. He advised the youth to remain attached to their roots while embracing the change. As a Swayamsewak one is expected to “lead by example” so that the society can take the inspiration and it’s a continuous process.
A total of 2,050 young college going swayamsevaks attended the Shivir. The students also participated in different competitions. The Shivir was formally inaugurated by Shri Mohan Bhagwat on September 26. Chief Guest at the function was the noted scientist and former chairman of Nuclear Commission of India Dr Anil Kakodkar. RSS Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Kulbhushan Ahuja also shared the dais. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Akhil Bharatiya Sharirik Shikshan Pramukh Shri Anil Oak, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Rameshwar, Sah Kshetra Pracharak Shri Prem Kumar, Kshetra Karyavah Shri Sitaram Vyas and Sah Kshetra Karyavah Shri Vijay Kumar were also present on the occasion.
Shri Anil Kakodkar called upon the youth to get better education and use the knowledge for betterment of the nation. He said we should do something in our life, which impacts the society even after we leave the world.
Next day, a symposium on the role of teachers in national upliftment was organised. Speaking on the occasion Shri Mohan Bhagwat said the RSS has been doing the work of nation building since its inception, but some people are still not aware of the welfare activities of the RSS. There was a question-answer session also at the symposium.
While answering the question about role of women in the Sangh, Shri Bhagwat said Matrushakti indirectly plays a significant role by lending their moral support to male members of the family to actively engage in the Sangh work. He reminded the horrors of Emergency and said it was the moral support of the family members only which provided strength to the swayamsewaks to stand by their principles and face the atrocities of the government machinery. Apart from this, there is a separate organisation for women named as Rashtra Sevika Samiti which works on the similar ideology.

Speaking at the concluding session on September 28, Shri Bhagwat said the relations in the Sangh are not of a worker and a leader, but like a family. “We fulfill our responsibility, whether big or small, with full integrity. A swayamsevak has to first become the Sangh himself and then follow the ideals in his personal conduct,” he added.              —Bureau Report
