Again, Hindu idols vandalised in B’desh

Hindu temples and idols of god and goddess have always been on target in Bangladesh especially during festival seasons. On September 27, unidentified miscreants vandalised three Hindu idols, including that of goddess Durga, at a temple in Kawnia, Barisal, Bangladesh.
Bikash Haldar, secretary of Aparajita Kunja Durga Puja Mandir committee, said, “Unknown miscreant vandalised three idols, including that of Durga set up at the temple ahead of Durga Puja in the dead of night. When an electrician got inside the temple in the afternoon for decorating the mandap, he found the idols of Durga, Ganesh and Kartik badly damaged.”
Earlier also before Navratri, three idols in Prabhatnagar area in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur and four idols of hindu god and goddess in Garua village in Bhanga upazila were vandalised by the miscreants.
