Readers’ Forum: Shameless Congress

Shameless Congress

Look at arrogance of Mani Shankar Aiyar even after the humiliating defeat, comparing Modiji to Hitler. Top Kannada literary figure UR Ananthamurthy who it is said nurses a blind hatred towards Narendra Modi, said that he will quit India if Narendra Modi becomes PM. Has he applied for an emigration visa I would like to know! Ananthamurthy further goes on to say that Modiji’s win is due to ads and media. The same applies to the writer. Did he pay the media for a favourable review of his books? Look at the way Rahul Gandhi smiled at the press confrence, nonchalantly. Paying visits to dalits’ houses promising jobs; visiting the dalits taking the British foreign secretary along with him—didn’t impress the poor? Later the foreign secretary failed to win the elections and left the government with a handsome amount in his account from “lucrative directorship and speaking roles”. Is this the company Rahul Gandhi keeps and moves about to win an election? A strong leader has emerged after a weak Prime Minister, a puppet in the hands of Sonia Gandhi. All our hopes for Bharat, and Bharatiyas lies with Narendra Modi. The citizens of Bharat each and eveyone of us should strengthen Narendra Modiji’s hands for a Navanirman Bharat.

After its stunning defeat in the recent general elections will the Congress Party continue to mindlessly surrender to the Italian lady? Or will they choose one from among themselves as leader? Or will the party be wound up and get cremated? Or will they go searching for some other foreign lady to take over the party?

Impact of Muslims on elections and society

Some scholars are under the impression that the result of elections depend to a large extent on the vote-bank of the Muslims. But in reality it is not so. Muslim community is as diverse as any other. Muslim votes hardly matter in most of our states. Even in UP, Bihar and Bengal, etc where their number is significant, their votes are divided among parties like Congress, SP and BSP, etc. The Sachar Commitee cannot improve the lot of Muslims but education can. But for Muslims education is a hard nut to crack. Their aversion to modern education is well-known. Muslims don’t believe in the ‘Law of Change’ which is supreme. Their mind-set has not changed and this is the cause of their backwardness. The election resutls of 2014 have proved beyond any doubt that the parties for whom Muslim votes matter and which have been patronising Muslims for decades have been reduced to dust.

No Rationale for Article 370

(Organiser, 18.5.2014);This is with reference to Article ‘No Rationale for Article 370’ in Organiser by Daya Sagar. The very talk about abrogation of Article 370 has evoked sharp reaction from the “secular” lobby. However, these very people had observed a meaningful and studied silence when a top leader from the Valley had made a potentially dangerous demand. It was a recent case, largely overlooked by the “secular” press, wherein the said leader had called for the Pakistani currency to be circulated as a legal tender in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.

Rename Rajiv Gandhi Airport

The demand to rename Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Airport after the matinee idol and ex-CM NTR is perfectly justified. One wonders as to how many memorials for the late P M, who ruled the country just from December 1984 to October 1989, have been created. The figure is a mind-boggling 38; which includes, among others, irrigation projects, freeways, expressways, universities, bridges, airports, schools, colleges, health and other welfare schemes, to name a few. Unfortunately, for the two late PMs, Lal Bhadur Shastri and Narasimha Rao, practically nothing stands as a memorial.
