One of the five girls rescued by VHP and Bhagini Nivedita Sewa Nyas workers in Delhi from the clutches of Christian missionary on April 4 was got married on April 20. The whole expenses of the wedding were borne by VHP and the Nyas activists. The wedding ceremony was performed in the presence of the family members of both the bride and the groom. Shri Mahavir Prasad Gupta, general secretary of the Nyas, played a key role in arranging the wedding. He himself performed kanyadaan. The five women were rescued when they complained the police of forced conversion at an orphanage home run by a Christian organisation. n
