AAP, by its recent views on national issues, has shown that it is too young to take on the reins of the nation. Our country is varied in culture, in political ideologies, has been riddled with terrorist and secessionist activities, has regional parties indulging in vote-bank politics, and has cross-culture migrations across the country, etc. Referendum cannot, therefore, be a solution to our problems. Minuscule countries elsewhere whose size is much smaller than Mumbai city can have different type of governments. Our problems are humongous which are compounded by some unfriendly neighbours. AAP has a long way to go before it can think of entering the national stream. Let AAP prove its credential by effectively governing Delhi for five years, by implementing the 17 points that Kejriwal has listed, by initiating action against the alleged corrupt practices of Sheila Dikshit, Suresh Kalmadi and others, by ending the water-mafia raj in Delhi, etc. Governing and governance are easier said than done. The way AAP is maneuvering itself, Mulayam may prove right in observing that the ‘bubble of AAP will burst very soon’.

Tribute to Dr Ambedkar on his death anniversary (Organiser, 8.12, 2013); This refers to ‘Tribute Dr Ambedkar on his death anniversary’, in Organiser by Dr. Krishna Gopal. A number of revealing facts about Dr B R Ambadkar have been mentioned, but the most important of all is, his plea for complete exchange of population between Pakistan and India. Infact Dr Ambedkar critically analysed Hindu Muslim problem in his book Pakistan or the Partition of India, published a few years before Partition and he came to a very logical solution, that it was in the interest of the Hindus to accept Pakistan with complete exchange of population, as a permanent solution of the Hindu-Muslim problem. But the Hindus were driven more by emotions, badly exploited by Gandhi, Nehru and Congress leaders who wanted to continue their “Experiments on Hindu Muslim unity”, even after yielding Pakistan to the Muslims, all at the cost of the Hindus, who happen to be politically stupid, and even now continue to praise. Gandhi as ‘Father of the Nation’ forgetting that he was the main source for all the troubles and problems that Hindus suffered during 1947, and even later on. Gandhi forced Muslims to continue to live in truncated India, on which they have no claim, so that experiment of Hindu-Muslim unity could be continued forever. Now Muslims are creating problems for the Hindus in truncated India, and we have to again fight for freedom from this anti-Hindu suffocating set-up in the country.

Threat to Hinduism We should be thankful to British who came to India, defeated Mughals and thus took over the control of this country. Had they not come here, India would have been a Muslim country long back and Hinduism would have been eliminated from this world. Their coming here was a God given gift to us. Thought at the time of their departure we had to sacrifice half of India due to short sightedness and wrong policies of our leaders. Most painful thing happened that our leaders did not agree for the complete transfer of population at the time of Partition with the result that just within next 50 or 100 years we shall have to sacrifice another half of our country to minorities without any struggle or shedding out a drop of blood. Population of minority at the time of Independence was 10 per cent and now without any effort it has become 20 per cent. There is no reason it will not become 50 per cent after another 50 or 100 years and then those who are minorities today shall become the ruler but nobody is taking it seriously. Is there any solution to this problem.

The clarion call In the thought provoking article titled ‘Silence!’ in Organiser issue dated 8.12.2013 Dr Pravin Togadia raised a very pertinent question that why we Hindus have to keep silence on the issues that matter to us? Frankly speaking, Hindus keep silence because of their inherent nature only and they do not like to bother for anything which does not hurt them or their family members directly. Moreover they always feel alone. They are always doubtful of support to them from anybody else. Because of this particular and real nature of our Hindu society our country was made slave for about a thousand years by the handful of foreign invaders from the Middle East and the British people. Because of such nature of our Hindu society almost all the political parties of our country not only neglect them but also vehemently accused them for everything wrong done even by other’s though they are about 80 per cent of the total population of our country, which matter a lot in a democratic country.

Just Lokpal is not sufficient It was Anna Hazare’s 2011 Ramlila Ground Jan Lokpal agitation which brought tremendous pressure on the Parliament to pass the Lokpal Bill. But Lokpal alone is not sufficient to rid Indian society of the corruption bug. One of the most important thing in this regard is to ensure that political parties keep their funding sources transparent. It is equally important to bring all political parties under the ambit of the Right to Information Act. Otherwise political corruption, which is the mother of all corrupt acts, will continue to occur with impunity and the Lokpal and Lokayuktas will be rendered toothless.

Subhas Chandra Bose contested for presidentship of the Indian National Congress in pre-Independene period going against the will of the established coteries of Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru and Sardar Vallabhai Patel who were leading membes of the Congress coterie and became president of the Indian National Congress. The time has come to learn from this example and work vigorously and cohesively for the success of Narendra Modi’s young and dynamic leadership.
