Apart from attending the daily shakha, the Sangh swayamsevaks have now started focusing on service activities. Majority of the Sangh shakhas now observe Sewa Diwas once a week, under which at least one Sewa Basti is adopted to start different service activities. Under this activity, the swayamsevaks of Dayananda Shakha in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh look after all needs of the lepers and their children. They also renovated the roofs of 10 houses for the lepers. A skin specialist is called once a week to look after their medical needs. The medicines provided by the doctors are kept safe and are provided to the patients on time. A yajna is conducted once a month. The children of the lepers also attend the shakha. There are about 45 lepers in the ashram. A worker of the ashram Shri Yashpal Solanki was honoured by Baba Ramdev on October 8, 2006 on behalf of Divya Prem Sewa Mission. He donated the entire amount that he had received as award to the ashram.
