Veteran BJP leader Shri LK Advani and Janata Party president Dr Subramanian Swamy released a book on the late Baleshwar Agrawal, Karmyogi Baleshwar Agrawal, Vyakti aur Vichar, in New Delhi on July 17. The function was organised on the 93rd birth anniversary of Baleshwarji by the Antar Rashtriya Sahyog Parishad (ARSP). The book has been published by Prabhat Prakashan, New Delhi. ARSP president Shri Shashank, general secretary Shri Shyam Parande also shared the dais. Many dignitaries including the Ambassador of Bhutan, Ambassador of Mauritius, senior journalist Dr Nand Kishore Trikha, Shri Ashok Tandon, Shri Rambahadur Rai, Dr Bajrang Lal Gupt were also present to grace the occasion.

In his speech Shri Advani shared his memories with Baleshwarji and said the title of the book reflects the whole personality of Baleshwarji. “He was a karmayogi. Values of people like Baleshwarji, Nanaji, Kushabhau Thackeray, Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya etc still hold a place in the RSS and society. Baleshwarji was prominent among those who promoted journalism in Indian languages,” he said adding that the incidents like match-fixing in cricket make him remind of people like Baleshwarji who worked selflessly all his life for the nation.

Dr Subramanian Swamy recounted his memories with Baleshwarji and said that he was instrumental in strengthening ties with Indians spread all over the world. Shri Shashnak read the condolence message from former king of Bhutan who remembered Baleshwarji as a friend and well wisher of Bhutan.

The complier of the book Shri Narayan Kumar said Baleshwarji was against writing his biography, and this book is a tribute to him. Triveni Sewa Mission organised a satsang on the occasion.   —Aniruddh Subhedar
