HR Nagendra honoured by Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas

“BHARAT needs the education, which arise a glorious feeling towards our language, dress and above all the nation. The objective of entire education should be to make its self-reliant in different fields, ultimately making it beneficiary to the entire world,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while felicitating noted educationist Dr HR Nagendra in New Delhi on April 3.

The function was organised by Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas.  Secretary of Ramakrishna Math, Delhi, Swami Shantatmananda, president of the Nyas Shri Dinanath Batra, secretary Shri Atul Kothari also shared the dais. Earlier, Prof Kapil Kapur of JNU and Prof Ganesh Bagadia of HBTI, Kanpur have also been honoured with this Puraskar.

Shri Bhagwat and Swami Shantatmananda jointly honoured Dr HR Nagendra by presenting a shawl, coconut, and a cheque of Rs 51,000. Dr Nagendra is vice chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Sansthan, Bangalore.
Earlier, Shri Atul Kothari apprised the gathering of the activities of the Nyas and said it is working to ensure value based education to the young generation of the country. He said the Puraskar has been instituted by the Nyas to encourage the people who are contributing excellently in the field of education. He said Dr Nagendra is providing value-based education in Bengaluru. Many educationists of Delhi also attended the function. (FOC)
