EVERNOTE, a note taking application, is capable of working from everywhere you are: it can be accessed through your smartphone, your tablet and your laptop. Many users have now started using Evernote for just about everything – from jotting down notes to storing pictures and archiving pictures and articles from the Internet.

As Evernote works on a variety of operating systems, from PC and Mac to iOS and Android, it provides users with seamless access to notes and data collected through an array of devices. To access your Evernote account, all you need is a connection to the Internet. If you are an Android user, you can install your Evernote app by visiting the Google Play link – https://play.google.com. You can easily find the Evernote app by the usual system of searching the Android marketplace.
To begin using Evernote, you have to first of all create an account. When you open the Evernote app, you will be prompted to start a new account or log in with an existing account. Basically you have to think of a unique username and type in a password. After your account is created, you can start using Evernote directly. On the home page of the app, you will find a list of four types of notes that you can create – Text, Snapshot, Camera Roll, Voice.

If you want to create a Text note, you can pick up that option. You can create the Text note by typing through the Android keyboard. It is advisable to use some commonly use tags to enable you to easily search for your note at a later period of time. One of the beauties of this app is that it enables you to easily search for any particular file that you have created.
The Audio file option in Evernote is also quite popular with users. You can just voice record your ideas and messages instead of having to go through the rigmarole of having to type them. Recording phone messages is as simple as pressing the record button, speaking your message into the phone (as if you’re on a call to someone) and then pressing stop. As with text notes, you have the option to give the audio files and the snapshots a title, description and tags, so that you can find them easily.

Many users save favourite webpages to their Evernote account. This gives them seamless access to entire page – text, images and links. The hyperlinks in the webpages are kept when they are stored in Evernote. If you are willing to pay a price, you can go in for Evernote Premium, which gives you bigger upload capacity, offers greater sharing options, gives you access to note history, and more. Plus, you get better document searching, faster image recognition, and more.

There are so many ways in which Evernote can prove beneficial. It allows you to exchange your notes and collaborate on projects with friends, colleagues and others. You can even use Evernote to plan your next vacation. You can use it to keep all your itineraries, confirmations, scanned travel documents, maps, and plans, so you’ll have them when you need them. Even in research Evernote can be helpful, as it is the repository of all kinds of text and other files that you might collect.
Evernote comes with systems to make it easy for the notes to be easily shared between different users. For more information, you can log on to: http://evernote.com/.
