Anwar Manippady

DELHI rulers! What are you doing?  You are not only making the minority Muslims a target of hatredness  but also damaging the country’s image by falsely accusing the fellow countrymen of being terrorists and responsible for many bomb blasts and giving a clean chit to the actual terrorists from across the border. The newspapers across Pakistan and Asian Sub-continent are screaming “The Delhi rulers have realised the terrorists are within and not from the internationally acclaimed terrorists from Pakistan.” For the sake of vote-bank creation, your appeasement has gone up by a couple of notches. It is time you have to think of the country first, rather than your power retention and filling up of coffers.

It is the greed of these politicians that is making the ignorant and the innocent Muslims of the country the target of hatredness for the majority without being at fault. In the recent newspapers we find banned outfits from across the border like Jamat-Ul-duha and its chief Hafeez Saeed demanding the ban on organisations of Indian origin in India.  Is it not ridiculous for such organisations to interfere in the affairs of our country?.  Who gave this leverage to them?  Is it not our so-called leaders ruling in Delhi, people like Shinde, Chidambaram, Salman Khursheed, Rehman Khan and Sonia Gandhi talking through their hats and issuing statements damaging and weakening our own country’s claim and appeal at the UNO and the world citizens. The news and statements of Pakistan leaders has already started appearing in international newspapers and magazines stating that India and its leaders have realised that the terrorism and the terrorist-attacks through bomb blasts and shooting  people at random in the country are the doings of their own countrymen because of their recent thoughtless statements.

The person having all the knowledge of terrorist attacks and the prior reports of such terrorist attacks is the Home Minister of the country.   He also has the services of Secret Service Intelligence Agencies at his disposal and that person is Shinde, the Home Minister of our country, who is supported and encouraged by Sonia Gandhi, Chidambaram and so on damaging the country’s image.   It is time now for the people of the country to realise the motive of these leaders and their political parties and rise a revolt against and throw them out of power to safeguard the country.

These leaders in their attempt to appease the minorities especially the Muslims have even put the Muslims of this country in a tight corner. They are made the target of the majority’s wrath.  These leaders and political parties time and again during elections speak about Sachar Committee Report’s implementation, but after elections it gets forgotten and the report goes back to the backroom shelf.  The Sachar Committee Report, since the submission to the Government of India, no major implementation of its recommendations has taken place and has become stale issue now. Hence this new subject Tipu Sultan Muslim University has emerged, knowing fully well that it is against the Constitution and impossible to implement.  It is the manipulative plan to make it a controversial issue and blame it on Opposition for non performance and to win the sympathy of the minority Muslims and rebuild the Muslim vote-bank.  If the Centre wants to establish a university or any other such organisations in the states, the Government should intimate, call or invite the State Government and the concerned authorities and take them into confidence and jointly carry out the project.  The Centre cannot carry out any project in the states suo moto.

Tipu Sultan Muslim University, Srirangapatna, is such a case that the Centre should have taken proper care to follow the procedures.  Since the intention of Rahman Khan and his political party is only to create a controversy, they have not followed the procedures.  This will only create divisions among people and will fan fire of hatredness between the minorities and the majorities and the most affected community will be the poor, ignorant and gullible Muslims.  It is because of such attitude of these political parties, especially Congress, since Independence, the Muslim minorities and the majorities were not able to live in total harmony and peace in the country.  The Congress have used and are using the same policies of the Britishers – “divide and rule”.   How long such attitude of the Congress will continue? And how long the Muslims of this country are to suffer for the sake of political parties vote-bank creation.

Our country belongs to every true Indian who loves the country, its heritage, its culture and respect every sentiment of every citizen of this land.  Tolerance and universal acceptance are our virtues.  We always, all through the years lived in harmony and peace irrespective of caste, creed or colour. As Swami Vivekananda said and repeated by millions of human beings every day; “As the different streams having their sources in different places all mingle their water in the sea, Oh Lord, the different paths which men take through different tendencies, various though they appear,  crooked or straight,  all leads to thee”, we must believe in practice and on the basis of this to attain prosperity through harmonious living, which the rulers in Delhi should know and follow too.  To understand further, I would like to quote the Holy Quran, Chapter-5 Alma’idah section 69 “lo! Those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans, and Christians or whosoever believeth in God and the last day and doeth right, there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve.”  This goes to show that this is what one should learn and practice in his daily life without creating divisions within the same race of human beings and not to divide people belonging to the same race creating controversies and propagating hatredness, especially one has to be very responsible while ruling the country to bring about harmony and amiability and avoid dividing them for the sake of vote-bank creation, ruining peace and harming the mother land.
