Assert and establish the unique Hindu identity of Nepal

NEPAL has been known as the lone singular Hindu nation in the world. As per the latest census 81 per cent of Nepal?s population is Hindu and in spite of the country?s core Omkar Parivar forming 94 per cent of its population, declaring it a ?secular? country is not only a trickery with the Nepalese society but also a conspiracy and plot against it.

Ashok Singhal urges Nepalese people

$img_title“NEPAL has been known as the lone singular Hindu nation in the world. As per the latest census 81 per cent of Nepal’s population is Hindu and in spite of the country’s core Omkar Parivar forming 94 per cent of its population, declaring it a ‘secular’ country is not only a trickery with the Nepalese society but also a conspiracy and plot against it. While there are 52 Muslim countries and 169 Christian countries in the world, it is absolutely unwarranted to declare it ‘secular’ as there had never been any problem in Nepal on grounds of religion and Hindu Dharma,” said veteran VHP leader Shri Ashok Singhal, in Kathmandu on December 5.

In a press statement he said, “Under the ploy of ‘secularism’, the church has been hurrying with its conversion agenda by blatantly flouting the laws against conversion. Enormous money is being pumped into Nepal from USA and Europe to buy ways for evangelisation, planting of churches and ‘harvest of souls’ by undermining the indigenous culture.
If the Government of Nepal makes the laws against conversion more stringent and sincerely implements them, it would prevent mass conversions. Massive infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims into Nepal is also taking place. The international community knows that the Hindus of the Bodo areas of Assam are compelled to flee their hearths and homes and exist like refugees due to aggression on them in their own territories by Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators. A similar history
may repeat in Nepal if Nepal does not enact sooner than later strong laws and implement it to prevent it, he said.

Three-hundred schools of Nepal imparting Vedic studies were shut down by anti-dharma elements and it is now causing a shortfall of trained priests for the temples and qualified Karmakandi Pundits for priestly work. It is a direct calculated assault on Hindu society and culture. The society needs to address this challenge by running and protecting the Ved Vidyalayas. The removal of Sanskrit from the syllabus is also a ploy against Hindus.
