Sarsanghachalak in Ranchi and Jamshedpur

$img_title“RSS believes in nation building and openly supports every movement against corruption. But our support is getting divided because of many distinct movements taking place together. RSS has spared at least two lakh swayamsevaks to participate in these movements. If all the prominent crusaders come on one platform, our support will be intensified,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while answering a query at a public function organised at CMPDI Auditorium in Ranchi on October 4. Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Siddhinath Singh and Prant Sanghachalak Shri Jagannath Rahi were also present on the occasion. Apart from Ranchi, Shri Bhagwat also addressed a similar public function in Jamshedpur on October 6.
The questions to be asked to Shri Bhagwat were collected in advance from people through SMSes and emails. Addressing the gathering Shri Bhagwat said the fundamentals of the RSS are based on values, morals, service to the nation, adhering to truth and building up a society based on unity, harmony and happiness. On a query about relations between the BJP and RSS Shri Bhagwat said the swayamsevaks are active in all the political parties. They are more in BJP, but they are also in other parties. If any party seeks our support on any issue and shows respect to our ideology, we help them.
About the Ram temple in Ayodhya Shri Bhagwat said the temple would be built in Ayodhya only. He favoured an enactment in the Parliament to pave the way for construction of the temple. He said the Sangh is committed to construction of the temple but would go by the decisions of the high-powered committee of the saints, as it is the movement of the Hindu society and is purely guided by the saints. “We believe the temple would be constructed if proper legislation is introduced and a consensus is achieved and for that the Sangh is in no hurry,” he added.  Blaming the political parties for politicising, Shri Bhagwat said the differences could be resolved by intervention of intellectuals and mutual dialogue.
He appealed to the common people to get associated with the Sangh for two years of their life for having an opinion. “No one could be explained the taste of sugar unless he or she tastes it and there is no bondage in the Sangh. One is free to come and go so I would appeal to everyone to understand the nationalist ideology instead of believing  in myths,” he said.
On infiltration by Bangladeshis, Shri Bhagwat blamed it on vote bank politics. He said only social awakening can now arrest this menace. He also expressed concern over the plight of Hindus who are fleeing from Pakistan and Bangladesh and the Government of India seems reluctant to resolve their woes. He said though the Sangh swayamsevaks are trying to provide them some solace, the entire society will have to come forward to help them. He asked the people to treat them as guests and send them off when conditions became conducive in their country. Responding to a query put up by few Muslims present in the auditorium why the RSS was not popular among their community Shri Bhagwat welcomed them and invited them to join the RSS.
Later, addressing a gathering at Agrasen Bhavan in Jamshedpur on October 6, Shri Bhagwat criticised the Congress-led UPA government for moving ahead with the economic reforms without weighing the concerns of all the stakeholders. He advised the government to avoid being passionate about allowing FDI in domestic market without properly studying its pros and cons for long term. “FDI in various sectors, in the name of economic reforms, is detrimental to the nation’s progress,” he added.
