Condolence meeting in Delhi

“The life of Jyotiji was fully dedicated to the nation and the society. Lord Krishna says in the Gita that those who have dedicated their life to the welfare of others are truly blessed. The deeds of such people become inspiration for all,” said Shri Suresh Chand, Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh of RSS. He was paying tribute to senior Sangh Pracharak Jyoti Swaroopji in Delhi June 10. Jyotiji (91) had passed away on May 28.
Many eminent personalities including former Governor of Goa and Sikkim Shri Kidarnath Sahni, former Akhil Bharatiya Sewa Pramukh Shri Prem Chand Goel and senior Pracharak Shri Surya Krishan paid the tribute.
Apart from the family members of Jyotiji, prominent among those who were present on the occasion included national convener of Shiksha Bachao Andolan Samiti Shri Dina Nath Batra, co-convenor Shri Atul Kothari, Delhi Prant Pracharak Shri Anil Kant, national general secretary (organisation) of VHP Shri Dinesh Chandra, head of VHP’s Dharma Jagran Vibhag Shri Mohan Joshi, RSS National Executive Member Shri Ram Madhav, former Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Prakash, Sah Prant Sanghachalak Dr SS Agrawal, Kshetra Pracharak Pramukh Dr Shrikrishna Baveja and others.

When the matter was discussed with a great personality of Chittor he said ‘those who dedicate their lives for the nation and the society are not needed to be performed pind daan. They are sure to get salvation. He said the whole life of Shri Jyoti Swaroopji was inspiring and he was expert in imparting samskars to the young swayamsevaks. “It is itself an inspiration that one dedicates 69 years of life to the nation,” he said.
In his tribute, senior Pracharak Shri Premchand Goel said the day needs to be remembered as prerana diwas and not as shraddhanjali diwas. He said Jyotiji may not physically be with us today, his memories would continue to inspire all of us. “He was very particular in financial matters and always avoided misuse of Sangh money, which is collected through gurudakshina.
Shri Kidarnath Sahni described Jyotiji as an ideal Pracharak. During the first satyagraha Jyotiji was responsible for looking after the families of those people who went to jail against the government injustice. He may not have paid any attention to his own family members but was always worried for the swayamsevaks who were in need. The pledge that he took while becoming a Sangh swayamsevak was followed by him till he breathed his last.
Shri Surya Krishan described Jyotiji as a modern dadhichi. His dedication to the work wondered many people. Younger brother of Jyotiji, Shri Arvind Bansal, said the memory of Jyotiji was very sharp and he could recall even the minor incidents of the family with date and time.
