Can Italian money buy an Indian life? Reacting to the two Indian fishermen who were killed by an Italian marines the Supreme Court has rightly said that the Italian government’s action is a gross violation of and challenge to the sovereignty of India. The Supreme Court has rightly conveyed to Italy that unless it committed to produce its four marines as witnesses during trial in the killing of two Kerala fisherman, the question of releasing the Italian ship did not rise. It is shocking as to how the Union government and the authorities in Kerala have allowed Italian representatives including the priests from that country to directly negotiate with the families of the two fishermen who were shot dead by Italian sailors on sea. This act of the Italian officials is a bid to buy out and silence the family members, and the two killers will quickly be let off the hook and the case slammed shut. This incident has proved that money can buy anything including the lives of innocent. India is not a banana republic or a theocratic state where the ‘blood money’ system is in vogue. Sadly the distinction that exists between India as a country where the rule of law as is not malleable and countries where the law can be manipulated with the help of money would have been eroded, if not erased, thanks to the Congress, had it not been the Supreme Court which has stepped in, albeit after the misdeed has been committed. And the best part is that the UPA government has sought to distance itself from the case, pleasing Italy, the country of their ‘Madam’.

All evidences support the temple in Ayodhya (Organiser, 22.4.2012); This is with reference to the article ‘All Evidences support a temple in Ayodhya’ in Organiser. I have got certain reservations regarding this and I hope that my views will also get published in your esteemed weekly. Firstly although a section of the wall excavated from beneath the ‘Babari Masjid’ clearly depicted ‘Sri Ram’ in Telugu. But it is not known whether the said section was excavated or planted? Its south Indian origin is a glaring proof of the doubt existed in the matter. Secondly Ramjanmabhoomi or Janmasthan is a legal proof of one’s domicility. However the spiritual appearance (Prakat hona) might be a matter of faith (astha) for the devotees. These two separate matters when mixed together, confuses the whole episode. Thirdly since 1528 the Babari Masjid had been a Muslim worshipping place till 1949 when its doors were closed for Muslim worshippers and an idol of Ram Lala clandestinely placed inside the mosque. Fourthly a mosque always faces the Qibla (direction of Kaaba in Macca) whereas a temple faces the place of rising and setting of the sun, in India (East-West). If there was already a temple on the site and unless it was completely dug out from the foundation, no new building (Mosque) could have been raised with new foundation facing Qibla. Fiftly the architecture of the Babari Masjid is no unique. There are similar mosques in Bengal (Bangladesh) with three domes and without minarets. Hence the objection about the style of architecture is ruled out. There are legal and archaeological issues to be solved. The history or even Ramayana is silent over the place of birth of Sri Ram. Lastly there is no question of demolishing any temple as Babar himself had advised his successor Humayun in the Tuzuk-e-Babari not to demolish any temple and not to allow slaughter of cows in his new dominion i.e. India.

President has to be an eminent personality (Organiser, 6.5.2012); As the tenure of President of India Smt Pratiba Devi Singh Patil is nearing to an end, we find a group of people especially from Tamil Nadu wishing former President Dr Abdul Kalam to be made again the President of India for the second term. In a country like our's with population of more than a hundred crore, definitely opportunities has to be provided to other talented aspiring personalities of our country, who are equally as dynamic and intelligent as Dr Kalam. We always find the people of Tamil Nadu over aspiring in any issue for that matter,be it Cauvery/Mullaperiyar Waters, Power&Energy, or any facilities and infrastructure, which is not fair enough. Dr Abdul Kalam basically being an scientist can exercise his scientific pursuals and aspirations any time free hand and only for such reasons, he need not become President of India once again to make an influence in this field, as this post in our country is dumb and just a rubber stamp. Already more than sixty years have passed since our country got Independence, atleast now let us learn to be truly democratic.

The national mood is anti-Congress. Sonia pariwar fails to impress (Organiser, 18.3.2012); This is with reference to the front page article in your esteemed weekly Organiser. The poll analysis which the writer has given is accurate, a guidance for future to the Congress and has shown results in mirror. Congress is a government of the foreigners, by the foreigners and exclusively for the foreigners. The citizens of India too have recognised this fact. In the recent elections Rahul and his team toiled badly appeasing the Muslim masses in a shameless way constantly violating the Election Commission’s rules. But they failed in achieving anything. It is customary for the Congress to abuse money and muscle power in each election. Very shamelessly Rahul openly distributes money to people for attending his meetings apart from food and drinks, etc. All this treason did not pay extra-territorial loyalist Congress anything this time. The Election Commission behaves like a personal slave of Rahul. Reservations to Muslims in the name of religion is violation of democracy, violation of the sacred Constitution and human values apart form promoting second Partition of India. Shame on Congress and congratulations to the electorates. Patriots have re-elected worthy and reliable politicians in Punjab (Akali-BJP alliance) and BJP in Goa. In Manipur the traitor Congress begged votes in the name of creating a rule of Jesus in Manipur. Unfortunately local Christian missionaries who work for ruining India extended their full support to their political ally Congress. Shame on Congress, shame on Church for ruining India. In UP electorate has done a commendable work by pulling down corrupt Mayawati. But unfortunately Mulayam Singh who is pro-Muslim has come back to power.

Congress is on the verge of collapse It would not be wrong to say that the Congress has fared badly in may states primarily because the party has failed to meet the regional aspirations. Not only does the Congress look hopelessly out of sync with the realities faced by the common man, its record on governance has been far from inspiring. Besides the recent spate of mega-scams and the party’s inability to rein in corruption has done immense damage to its image. In states like Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, the Congress has not come to power for decades now. If the Congress wants to revive itself it must overhaul its strategy.

Fight against corruption must go on Anna Hazare’s India Against Corruption (IAC) movement brought the country’s people out on the streets shouting slogans against corruption. But after the Parliament failed to pass the Lokpal Bill, Team Anna began losing its focus and the anti-corruption movement its momentum. There have been differences of opinion among the core team members on issues like Prashant Bhushan’s statement on a plebiscite in Kashmir and allegations of diversion of movement’s funds to an NGO run by Arvind Kejriwal. Now another member, Mufti Shameen Kazmi has walked out of Team Anna, claiming that the group has turned anti-Muslim. Team Anna must resolve these internal squabbles and prevent the IAC movement from withering away.

The writing on the wall is clear I would like to invite the kind attention of your readers to the enlightened, powerful and educative article, ‘The writing on the wall’, in the Hindu dated 21.3.2012 by Shri Era Sezhiyan, a statesmen and Parliamentarian of high order who was also a member of the Constituent Assembly. The punch line is, “The writing on the wall is clear. But Sonia Gandhi as Congress President and Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister are not able to decipher it. But some wise Daniel will come along to lead the people against this organised hypocrisy.” Will the BJP lead the fight against the ‘organised hypocrisy’ and capture power at the next general elections sooner or later.

Take it seriously Threat given by the JKLF Chief Yasin Malik in Lahore (Pakistan) that armed struggle would once again be launched by the Kashmiries if both India and Pakistan are not able to find out peaceful solution regarding J&K. Possibility of 3rd Front in country’s national politics With national parties sagging grip from State governments on prime issues of NCTC, Lokpal Bill, etc; will this lead to the strong emergence of 3rd Front in country’s national politics. We saw the supremacy of one and the only largest party the Indian National Congress(INC) in first three decades of Independence. Then, in 1998, we saw emergence of government as coalition with NDA & UPA—the two frontiers. But, political scenario is again changing with time giving stronghold to regional parties in State and heeding role in the Centre. Whether it is Trinamool Congress or complete majority winner Samajwadi Party; the assumption of a new era in India’s political system is likely to transpire. And, even if the same coalition politics continues then we are going to see the major political parties—INC & BJP, sitting at the top of the curtail but obeying the commands of these so-called regional parties. Picture will be clear soon, but the hold of emergence of regional parties will definitely grow and flourish with the incompetency of national parties in running a strong government.

Muslims are not backward When Muslims are in majority they deprive the non-Muslims of all rights, not to speak of just concessions which they enjoy in India. While the Hindus are being tortured in Pakistan, Muslims are enjoying life as privileged citizens in India. Muslims who had nothing but contemt for the Congress before independence switched over their preference to it soon after freedom. Congress welcomed them with open arms. Inspite of the concern and countless concessions given to Muslims by the Congress they are not at all satisfied. Now they want proportional representation in the legislatures since they are of the conviction that they have been let down by the ruling classes of India. They hold them responsible for their backwardness, poverty, lack of education, etc. Muslims don’t realise that their aversion to modern education is at the root of their wretchedness. A few Muslims who have got modern education are at the top of affairs in India. An intelligent person shall not hold others responsible for his blunders, since to err is human. Nobody is immune from shortcomings. The Germans and the Japanese have recovered after the World War II by dint of their intelligence and hard work. Same is true about the tiny Jewish state of Israel.
