Huge protest against Communal Violence Bill in Mangalore

Mangalore witnessed a huge protest against proposed Communal Violence Bill on November 23. A large number of nationalist organisations under the banner of Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike (HHV) organised the protest at Kendra Maidan. In the beginning, a huge procession was taken out from Dr B R Ambedkar Circle to the protest venue.
Addressing a gathering of over 50,000 people, Vibhag Sampark Pramukh of RSS Dr Kalladka Prabhakara Bhat said peace cannot be achieved by targeting the Hindus. “The National Advisory Council is trying to bring a totally uncivilised law,” he said.  He described the Bill as an assault to the peace loving Hindu society. Shri P Vaamana Shenoy, Vibhaga Sanghachalak of RSS, Shri Harish Achar, general secretary of HHV, Shri Ramesh S, president of HHV and many saints also attended the protest.
