Congress Secular Hindu Forum State Convention

Congress Secular Hindu Forum State Convention

By S Chandrasekhar

The Congress Secular Hindu Forum has appealed to Congress high command to replace Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh with Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, as the former has failed to lead the country and resolve the present problems the country is facing today.

Inaugurating the Forum’s State level convention at Guruvayoor in Kerala recently, Forum’s national general secretary K Ravi Kumar alleged that the Congress-led UPA Government’s image has seriously been dented due to its flawed policy of appeasing the minorities and corruption and all these developments have demoralised the party workers who face the wrath of the public due to the misdeeds of the UPA allies.  He said ever since 1991, the party is facing many hurdles and squarely blamed the allies for indulging in corruption favouring the Corporates.

Shri Ravi Kumar said the party and the government can avert the crisis, if only the leadership is strengthened with a leader who has a clear vision and wisdom to steer the country to new heights. He said it is none other than the present Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who can save the party and the Government considering his vast experience and clear vision, and also he would be able to overcome the crisis. He said Shri Mukherjee should be allowed to take on the mantle of Prime Minister.

He alleged that Dr Manmohan Singh has shown scant regard for contributions made by leaders like Pt Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, etc. to socialist democracy and instead succumbed himself to the dictates of Uncle Sam’ (US) and a section of the Congress leaders who were pursuing the Corporate agenda. He called upon the Congress workers to come forward and strongly reject the corporate socialism agenda being put forward by a section of the Congressmen who are hand-in-glove with the American lobby.

He said to replace corrupt Singh and bring Pranab Mukherjee as ‘PM’ is necessary not only to protect the interests of the Hindus but also to instill confidence among ordinary party workers who have lost hope in the party leadership.

The meeting was presided over by  State convenor Mali Madhavan. Prominent leaders, Jaykumar, Appu, Nair, KM Radhakrishnan, Karthikeyan Ayyer and others were present on the occassion.
