Massive response to Jan Chetna Yatra in Uttarakhand

Manmohan heading the most corrupt, worst ever government in history— Advani?

-Jan Chetna Yatra of senior BJP leader LK Advani received marvellous response in Uttarakhand. On 37th day i.e. November 17, the Yatra entered in the state from Himachal Pradesh and was received by state Chief Minister Shri BC Khanduri along with his cabinet colleagues and party leaders at Kulhal. Before reaching Parade Ground of Dehradun in the evening the Yatra was welcomed at different places by the party workers and general public.

The enthusiasm of party workers at the rally in Dehradun was much high. Advani said the yatra rejuvenated not only him, but all the party workers. Many dignitaries including former Chief Minister Nityanand Swami, Rajya Sabha MP  Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, former CM Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, BJP general Secretary Ananth Kumar, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad, cabinet ministers Madan Kaushik Matbar Singh Kandari, Prakash Pant, Trivendra Singh Rawat,  Vijaya Berthwal, and other senior leaders including state BJP incharge Thawar Chand Gehlot, etc. were also present at the rally.

Addressing the gathering  Advani expressed satisfaction that during his 60-year-long political career he organised six rath yatras, but he had received huge public support in this Jan Chetna Yatra because all people are fed up with prevailing corruption in their day-to-day life. For instance, he said, in Tamil Nadu their party is not having presence in Vidhan Sabha but this yatra received huge public support.

Referring to Uttarakhand  Advani said the state he is visiting in the last phase of his yatra may be smaller than many others, but in many ways it is far ahead and that includes its adoption of the Lokayukta bill, which has recently been passed in the state. Praising Chief Minister Khanduri Shri Advani said during the NDA regime Atali decided to build Golden Quadrilateral road and to connect village with road he started Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna. That assignment was given to the BC Khanduri who executed the project on ground. Such people exist only in BJP, he added.

He said since corruption and good governance couldn’t co-exist, the democracy and dynasty couldn’t succeed together. He said the Congress-led UPA-II Government’s efforts at blending democracy and dynastic politics had proved their undoing. Making comparisons with Atal Behari Vajpayee-led NDA regime with other party-led Union Governments, Advani said during his six-year rule (1998-2004) Atalji made India a nuclear power. Thereafter, the US Government and imposed economic sanctions and they faced it despite witnessing Gujarat earthquakes and several cyclones.

There was a complete paralysis in decision making in the UPA regime. For instance, Andhra Pradesh was burning due to the Telangana issue and more than 400 people had committed suicide, but the present Government had failed to act, he said. Explaining the experience of the Yatra in Kerala he said that he came to know that several people are working in gulf countries or Dubai and sending their money to the country. It is increasing our foreign reserve and now their income has reduced because there is a perception prevailing that India is corrupt state.

Talking about black money he said the Britishers ruled over the country around 200 years and looted Rs one lakh crore only but our people have looted around Rs 25 lakh crore and deposited in foreign banks in the last 64 years. This data was compiled by Global Financial and Integrity (GFI), a US based research agency. At the same time he alleged that government is not doing anything to bring the money back into the country. Despite knowing the fact that UN security council has passed a resolution against the black money. Even few countries including US and Germany have brought their money back to their country but Union Government is sitting idle.
