Advocating Islam It is now no more surprising that people like  Tanveer Fatima are hell-bent to advocate a wrong cause. Her letter ‘European, American Museums : Fortified Havens for Plunder from India’ in the Reader’s Forum Page (Organiser, 25.9.11) explicitly speaks that she is a very shrewd Islamic intellectual who has a jihadi mind-set which always compels her to come forward to prove that Islam has all virtues and others are a condemned lot. No doubt she is very expert in twisting facts in such a way that truth is suppressed and untruths or half truths are highlighted in favour of Islam. This time she tells the readers of Organiser that European colonialists were looters and they took away wealth from India, Greece, Egypt, Africa, etc and made their museums rich enough of anchaeological valuables. She also has the cheek to say that only Christian powers of Europe and America were colonialists, but the followers of Judaism and Islam were only settlers and not colonialists. Well said Fatimaji ! Islamic invaders were settlers and not colonialists. But any sort of acrobatics of historical facts cannot prove that they were not butchers, plunderers, rapists, iconoclasts, destroyers of magnificent temples and such other buildings, converters of not only the native people but even their metropolises, cities, towns and villages.Christian European colonialists took away valuable artifacts to their own respective countries and honourably and safely kept them in their museums where anybody can see them without any prejudice, but they did not destroy them, break them in pieces and put under the steps of the mosques to be trampled by the namazis to humiliate the natives. They did not made their captives belonging to other religions slaves and sold them in the Middle-East like goats and sheep. They did not massacre them as Timur, ‘The lame’ did to more than 1,50,000 Hindu ladies, children, young and old in the mountains on the border of Afghanistan and that place is still called ‘Hindu-Kush’ i.e., where Hindus were brutely butchered. They did not burnt down grand universities like Takshila, Nalanda, Vikramshila and Odantpuri. What has been done to those two ancient Buddha images in Bamiyan is a recent example.

Defaming Gujarat will not help anti-Hindu brigade (Organiser, 9.10.11); MV Kamath in his article, under the heading ‘Defaming Gujarat will not help anti-Hindu brigade’, has quoted Asian Age of 10.1.11, that in Pakistan Hindu girls are abducted every month and married off to Muslims. Pakistan has not arrested and tried any terrorist for the last two years. Pakistan Sikhs are barred from celebrating their festivals. Again why to blame Pakistan. Such abduction of Hindu girls by Muslims and subsequent marrying off to Muslims is going on in India also. Therefore, we have to blame Islam and its teachings. Muslims everywhere in the world behave like this, and have been doing so in the past also. The pity is, as to what our Indian government is doing. When Hindu and Sikhs come to India as refugees from Pakistan and Bangladesh, they are treated very badly. Instead of giving them help, they are a asked to go to Pakistan, to furnish documents to seek extension for their stay in India. Such news items are coming in the papers, the last one was published in The Tribune dated 26-9-2011, under the heading ‘Pak Sikhs seek citizenship’ stating that these Sikh families have been living in India for the last 15 years, but not granted Indian citizenship. Most shameful. Not only Indian government, but Indian Constitution is anti-Hindu. These Hindus and Sikhs who left Pakistan have a legitimate claim to come and settle in truncated India which  is their homeland. On the other hand crores of Muslim infiltraters from Pakistan and Bangladesh have been issued ration cards, and enjoying Indian citizenship. BJP must take up this issue in the Parliament, so that Hindus and Sikhs get citizenship immediately on arrival.

Land-swap with Bangladesh evokes angry statewide protest in Assam (Organiser, 25.9.11); With reference to the front page news item ‘Land-swap with Bangladesh evokes angry statewide protest in Assam’, I would like to say that the text and photos which you have provided in the article are documentary evidence of treason by CM of Assam, Tarun Gogoi in collusion with traitor PM Manmohan Singh. Whose land they are donating to Bangladesh? Is it, the personal property of Tarun, Manmohan or Sonia? This is national property. Without permission  from the electorate, without discussing this sensitive issue in Assembly or Parliament this treason was committed. Shame on Manmohan Singh and Tarun Gogoi and every traitor supporting this sin. The land was donated but no agreement was made to push back more than 40 lakh infiltrators who are staying in India, back to Bangladesh. It means Manmohan and Tarun Gogoi are sheltering these infiltrators. Can there be anything more treacherous than this. I congratulate ABVP, VHP, BJP and all those organisations and individuals who are protesting against this ‘treason’. What JD (U), TRS, TDP, Mayawati, Mulayam, RJD is/are doing to check Congress who is allowing Bangladesh infiltraters to enter Bharat and occupy our territory free of cost? Shame on all these political parties and politicians.

A tale of two countries (Organiser, 18.9.11); Your columnist Shri Ravi in his column ‘At Liberty’, has miserably either misunderstood ‘Racism’ or has deliberately maligned Islam of ‘Racial Discrimination’. The example of Saudi Arabia for citing ‘religious discrimination’ against non-Muslims is fictitious. Saudi Arabia is 100 per cent Muslim country. Since Islam has prohibited idolatory, hence worship of idols is not allowed there. On the other hand Israil is openly a Zionist country and Zionism like Nazism and Fascism is based on racial discrimination. Palestinians (Muslim and Christians) living in Israil are the original inhabitants of that country where as 95 per cent Jewish population of Israil  is foreign, settlers brought into that country from all over the world. In Saudi Arabia only the original inhabitants are its citizens. Even foreign Muslims are not allowed to settle there. Hence there is no rationality in compairing Israil and Saudi Arabia, while discussing racism. Your columnist seems to have obsessive sympathy with Israil and inherent hatred with Saudi Arabia together with Islam and hence he has mislead your readership.

RSS spread Right from the Independence day till now, while all other political parties have splitted  a number of times, BJP stands out as a singular exception and a shining example of continuous growth. Those who relinquished the BJP were either thrown out of the political scene or had to come back home. The only reason for such exceptional unity and growth is the upper hand the RSS is traditionally wielding over this party. That remote control must continue in the best interests of the party as well as of the country come what may. RSS must increase from strength to strength as it is the only hope for the sustained all-round progress of the country.

Congress should shed its feudal skin The architecture of misgovernance has been built over decades of feudal politics. In no modern democracy does a political party depend so heavily as the Congress on a centralised, opaque leadership. Key political decisions are made by a coterie who owe their positions to loyalty, no merit. In a Westminister parliamentary democracy, there is only one centre of gravity, never two. In Britain for example, the buck stops at 10 Domning Street. No caveats, no detours. In the UPA government, the buck does not stop at all. It skips between 7 Race Course Road, 10 Janpath and 24 Akbar Road.

Congress sinking ship Shri Narendra Modi’s three days fast for peace, social harmony and brotherhood has  put Congress and pseudo secularist brigade in perplex mood and are seething with rage. Why? Answer is so simple. In post Godhra riots in 2002 Congress had succeded in projecting Shri Modi’s image as anti Muslim and  of a murderer, etc to a little extent, that too for short period. In the meantime much more water has flown down from Gujarat’s pool since then. Muslim brethrens realised the real face and true colour of Congress. They themselves started to ask the question about their protector and destroyer. Finally they came to the conclusion that BJP and Modi are their saviours. The malicious hatered campaign launched by Congress against Shri Modi was totally ignored and rebuffed by the Muslims who expressed there solidarity with him. This was a big jolt to the Congress party. Such kind of significant development is intolerable for Congress Party which is always under the impression that Muslim community is its solid vote bank. Hindus and Muslim want development in Gujarat not confrontation with each other. Congress does not like this because if Hindus and Muslims unite, Congress will lose its vote-bank.  In post 2002 Godhara riots not a single communal riot has taken place in Gujarat. Congress does not want the spirit of brotherhood among Hindus and Muslims and has been trying to keep them separate.

Congress duplicity The Congress had gone on an overdrive after the Karnataka Lokayukta had named the then Chief Minister of the State, Shri BS Yeddyurappa in its report on illegal mining, and the party kept on ranting till he resigned from office. But very conveniently the Congress has adopted a different yardstick in the case of Goa, where its own government has been put in the dock by the State Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee over rampant illegal mining. Which estimating the loss to the public exchequer through illegal mining in the State to be close to Rs 4,000 crore, the PAC has blamed senior Congress Ministers and government officials for the loot. The PAC’s chairman, Shri Manohar Parrikar, has categorically stated that the involvement of Goa’s Chief Minister Digambar Kamat in the loot. But instead of taking any action against the CM the central Congress leadership has maintained deafening silence. Let alone asking Kamat to stepdown it has not even sought an explanation from him.

Madam will soon give 32 Rupees Italian  menu A fresh controversy has broken out and a never ending debate going on as our planning expert has come out with a brilliant assumption that one can survive or has to or it is sufficient or more than enough to survive on thirty two rupees per day in our country. Our politicians and the rich—may their tribe increase – who have amassed wealth illegally sit in air conditioned rooms with their bellies full and overflowing while the aam aadmi juggles with thirty two rupees to fill his emaciated self by adding promises and reports of experts who decide what the urban and rural should eat, to his platter. Benefactors with utter disregard, ignorance and turning a blind eye to plight of the poor sit and plan and speak of mandatory food entitlements parameters, food security bill, etc. Can these stupid talks fill the belly of the poor? No problem. Madam will come out with a solution with a touch of Italian flavour. God bless Bharat.

Congress knows that its future is bleak The Congress party’s top leadership knows that the tide has turned: growing public anger against corruption could  damage its electoral prospects both in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections  next summer and the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Since 1996, the Congress has never won more than 28.80 per cent national vote-share in general elections. If its national vote-share dips by just three per cent in the next Lok Sabha polls, it could slip below 25.82 per cent. That’s the vote-share the Congress received in 1998 when it won 141 seats—the second lowest  in its history. The fear of losing power has  sent a stab of fear through  the Congress. That fear could yet prove  productive if it ignites internal party reforms ahead of the next general elections. But I don’t think that it will be able to do so, as it consist only of corrupt leaders.

A plethora of issues Lack of initiative in stimulating growth and minimising the fiscal deficit is the main hurdle to India’s economic growth. The UPA has failed to undertake the next generation of reforms which could have taken India into another stage of progress. A plethora of issues is waiting to be taken up, such as doing away with wasteful subsidies,  infrastructure development, augmenting the resources for the health and  education sectors and so on. Since the Congress has failed to manage internal dissensions on crucial policy issues, it has failed to project a cohesive face. This  is unfortunate, since economic reforms could have helped regenerate corporate confidence and enthusiasm.

UPA image Congress party shows itself as protector of the common man’s interests. It also projects Rahul Gandhi as the ‘messiah’ of the poor. But if the Congress is indeed pro-people, why has it failed to rein in rising prices of fuel and essential commodities? Why is inflation hovering at around nine per cent for months now? What recently  added insult to injury was the Planning Commission’s affidavit to the Supreme Court saying that anyone with a daily expenditure of more than Rs 32 in urban areas and Rs 26 in rural areas would be deemed as above the poverty line. Rahul Gandhi’s silence on major scams under the UPA’s watch creates the impression that he lacks the zeal  to address such issues.
