Two-day youth camp in Awadh Prant
Live for the nation, not for self

“The imported system of governance being followed in our country today can never help us building a harmonious society. The nation today needs the people who live for the nation and not for their individual needs only. The Sangh has been building such people since 86 years,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat in Lucknow on October 2.
Shri Bahgwat was addressing the concluding ceremony of a two-day youth camp organised by the Awadh Prant of RSS. A total of 886 swayamsevaks from 12 districts of the State participated in the camp. They included 67 engineering students, 9 medical, 123 post graduates, 566 graduates, 31 computer science, 23 BEd and other others 67 youth participated in the camp.
The camp began on September 30 and concluded on October 2. Many senior Sangh functionaries were present at the camp full-time to guide the youth. Sarsanghachalak Shri Bhagwat himself answered the queries of the youth.
Shri Bhagwat said the degradation witnessed in various spheres of social life is because of the wrong model of development that we have been following after Independence. “We are still mentally enslaved. Basically, this mental slavery is the root cause of majority of our problems. We have to awaken our self-confidence,” he said.
Answering a question regarding terrorism, Shri Bhagwat said terrorism cannot be curbed till the government continues to play politics on this vital issue also. “Terrorism has to be crushed with iron hand and the intelligence apparatus should also be strengthened,” he added. Poorvi Uttar Pradesh Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Ishwar Chandra Gupt presided over the concluding ceremony.
Earlier, inaugurating the camp Sahsarkaryavah Shri Suresh Soni said the youth of the country must be aware of their glorious past as well as about the challenges of future. Sah Kshetra Sanghachalak of Poorvi Uttar Pradesh Kshetra Prof. Devendra Pratap Singh also spoke on the occasion. RSS National Executive Member Shri Ram Madhav exhorted the youth to look at the problems that the nation is facing today and come forward to resolve them. “With 60 crore young population today, India is the youngest country in the world. But despite that we still have 36 crore illiterate population. If the youth are resoled, they can solve this problems within one for two years,” he added. (VSK, Lucknow)
