Haj House and Amarnath House

IT appears that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to fund the construction of a second Haj House this time near the International Airport in Shamshabad in addition to the one which is already there in the heart of the city. A secular government using tax payers money for promoting the religion of some people is reprehensible and subversive of the secular principle of the Constitution and state. To fund a second Haj house is to compound the humiliation on Hindus and to further appease Muslims.

If a second Haj House would be funded despite subversion of secularism, then the Haj House already in the center of the city should be surrendered to government. It could be for a public cause like its conversion into Amarnath and Mansarovar House. Just as Muslims do the Haj pilgrimage, Hindus (who are five times the number of Muslims in the country and eight times in Andhra Pradesh) deserve as much patronage if not more as Muslims. Taxes Hindus pay are several times more than the Muslims.

It is surprising that the secular parties especially the BJP which stands for the implementation of real secularism, as equal treatment of all the religions, are keeping quiet in regard to the mounting favours to one community at the cost of the majority community.

It is obvious that Hindus are once again becoming the ruled class with the worst elements among them collaborating with the residues of alien rule.
