Mysteries of Vedic Face Reading, Hrishikesh Dubey, Jaico Publishing House, Pp 303, Rs 250.00
WRITTEN by a Vedic scholar, who is a trainer in astrology, numerology, face reading, body reading, different yogic practices and various occult traditions, this book begins by explaining what Vedic knowledge is and explains that face reading/astrology is based on eight principal manifestations of material energy and these are earth, water, fire, air, ether (or sky), mind, intelligence and false ego. These elements are supposed to constitute Krishna’s material energies. Of these eight, the first five – earth, water, fire, air and sky are gross material elements and the other three – mind, intelligence and false ego are subtle material energies.
The author says that unlike the belief in the West, every single person in this material world is made up of these eight material elements and there are no other material energies or elements. The science of astrology, numerology or any other Vedic science like face reading or body reading make use of these four elements only. The author explains that the reason why the 12 months in the calendar year are divided into 12 signs of the zodiac and all the 12 signs fall into one of these four elements only. He then tries to determine the real nature, character, personality and whole destiny of a person and he says that no matter how hard a person tries to fake his true personality, Vedic physiognomy determines each and every person’s socio-political beliefs and also helps in understanding people who are honest and those who are untruthful. No matter how much people can pretend but they will not be able to stop the truth from revealing itself on the face.
The author explains that by drawing a vertical imaginary line on the face, it will be seen that the face is not exactly symmetrical. The right eye will be different to the left, the ear will be smaller or bigger than the other and that the more noticeable the difference is the more significant is the meaning.
The vibrations in the body due to the alphabets of the name are based upon the Shiva and shakti principles where the right side is controlled by the Shiva principle and the left by the shakti principle. So the right side of the body is the male side and left is female. According to Vedic face reading, the right side represents the spiritual side and the left, the material side for both the sexes. This fact holds true as we see the Ardha-narishwara deity Shiva depicted as half male and half female.
Whether the information is scientifically correct or not, one feels there is some truth in what the author is saying because he seems to have done extensive research on different types of faces and some things appear to be correct.
