“MORE than six decades have passed since the country achieved Independence, the Paradhis are still neglected and away from the mainstream development. But the Sangh workers in Yamgarwadi village have presented an example worth emulating by all. All the people should draw benefit of it and join the path of development,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. He was inaugurating an Education Centre at Yamgarwadi village under Usmamanabad district of Maharashtra on April 14.
The function was organised by Bhatake Vimukta Vikas Parishad on 120th birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. Noted Anesthetist of Pune Dr Alka Mandake, president of Bhatake Vimukta Vikas Pratishthan Shri Baijnath Lature, chairman of Yamgarwadi project Dr Abhay Shahpurkar, president of Bhatake Vimukta Vikas Parishad Shri BR Idate and many other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
Built at a piece of 38 acre land, the project is an effort to bring the Paradhi community into the mainstream of education. Paradhi is an unfortunate community, which was termed criminal by birth by the government and remained neglected for years without any reason. Shri Bhagwat described the project as amritkumbha, which will bring the nomadic communities into the mainstream. He lauded the dedication and commitment of the local workers and told them to touch more heights. “It is due to the tireless work of such activists that the self-confidence of a worker like me also gets a boost here,” Shri Bhagwat said.
Dr Alka Mandake said the project impressed her lot and would prove a milestone in the development of Paradhis. Earlier, Shri BR Idate presented a detail description of different activities of the project. He said the project was basically started with the inspiration of RSS and the people of 26 communities are associated with the project. Shri Bhagwat also released a book Dhyasparva and also honoured several students and sportspersons.
After the function, Shri Bhagwat visited Tuljabhavani temple, the Kuldevi of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and had darshan of the Goddess. The management committee of the temple welcomed him. (FOC)
