54th All India Essay Competition by Forum For Free Enterprise Shanu Salunke wins the first prize

SUSHRI Shanu Salunke, a student of St. Francis Institute of Technology, Mumbai, won the first prize in 54th All India Essay Competition organised for college students by the Forum of Free Enterprise.

The second prize has been awarded to Sushri Samrudhi Dash, a student of BJB Autonomous College, Bhubaneshwar while the third prize was given to Shri Lisbern Shawn Fernandes of Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim (Goa). The fourth prize went to Sushri Vishakha Milind Vartak of Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, Pune. Consolation prizes were awarded to Shri Aritra Chakrabarty of KC College, Mumbai, Shri Rahul P Doshi of MET Institute of Management Mumbai, Sushri Metilda Thomas of Tolani College of Commerce, Mumbai, Shri Viren M Vesuwala of Kirti M Doongursee College, Mumbai and Sushri Kavita N Yajnik of DJ Sanghvi College of Mumbai.

The subject for the competition was “Industrial Disasters-Lessons from the Bhopal Tragedy”. The competition is being sponsored by Jyoti Limited, Vadodara, since 1957, with a view to encourage college students to think and write on topical economic subjects. The judges who selected the winners included Shri Vipin Doshi, vice president (special projects) of Excel Industries Ltd, Shri JR Khona, president of Business Development & Technology, Savita Oil Technologies Ltd; and Shri PM Murty, CEO of Asian Paints Ltd.
