CHIEF Minister is upset with the opposition leaders for dragging Raj Bhavan into politics and trying to dismiss the BJP Government. While opposition parties continue their ‘unethical’ strategies to remove BJP Government from power, the confident Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa is hopeful that BJP Government will complete its five-year term. JD(S) party leaders on January 17, took out a rally, held a dharna in front of Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum to Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj, demanding him to dismiss the government over a land scam. Replying to the queries by reporters the CM said that he is being harassed by opposition parties from the day he took charge as CM and opposition is disrespecting the democratic principles by unnecessarily meeting the Governor often with the fabricated documents to dislodge the popular Government.

Referring to JD(S) supremo HD Devegowda and his son HD Kumaraswamy, BS Yeddyurappa said “I am not the only one who is being harassed by father-son duo. Several ex-CM’s like JH Patel, Ramakrishna Hegde also have suffered due to cheap politics of JD(S) who wants to be in power always and do not tolerate any other party coming to power. JD(S) is frustrated after BJP won the recently held local body elections and they are gearing up to pull down my government after realising that BJP is emerging stronger”. CM criticised the Congress and JD(S) leaders for meeting the Governor in Raj Bhavan on every alternate day to discuss alleged corruption charges of the BJP Government and suggested to come over for a detailed discussion with him in the banquet hall in Vidhana Soudha instead. He further said that people of Karnataka are watching all the developments and bless BJP with more number of seats in the next elections and teach a lesson for both Congress and JD(S) who are making baseless allegations against BJP and creating hurdles in the path of development of the State.

According to Karnataka BJP MP, the root cause of the problem is Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj himself and wants the Centre to sack him immediately for allowing opposition party leaders to use corridors of Raj Bhavan to chalk out programmes to prevent the present BJP Government to run smoothly. Addressing a press meet, BJP Lok Sabha MP from Bangalore North constituency, Chandre Gowda said “Governor announces that he is a ‘agent of Congress’ in public. Governor meets the opposition in the corridors of the Raj Bhavan which gives suspicion to one and all that he is trying to do something. Therefore, we caution the Governor of Karnataka that we will take a team from Karnataka comprising chosen representatives of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and meet the Rashtrapati and Prime Minister and explain the situation prevailing in Karnataka. We will ask them to either dismiss the Governor or getting transfer from Karnataka and allow Karnataka to run the Government smoothly, constitutionally and legally”. The people of Karnataka have voted in favour of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and both the Opposition and Governor should respect the mandate, Chandre Gowda opined.
